New Weapon(s) Ideas

since its been almost confirmed that Forerunners will make an appearence in Halo 4, i was thinking. We have a bunch of weapon “sets”. There is UNSC, then Covenant counterparts to almost each of those, and then Brute counterparts to a good amount of them. Maybe, just maybe, they added Forefunner counterparts?

one idea i had was the “Sentinal Whip”, we have a UNSC Shotgun, a Covenant Energy Sword, and a Brute Gravity Hammer all for close combat, so i was thinking maybe add the forerunner counterpart. there is already a hammer, a sword, and a gun. so i then thought of other close combat weapons, until i thought of the whip.
Basically its a beam of pure energy that extends to a certain length, it has an orange color much like sentinal beams, and it is flexible. the way it works gameplay wise is its an instant kill (assuming all stats are not altered for custom game reasons), and much like the energy sword, if you arnt right next to them and the crosshair is red, you can still attack, however, instead of lunging, you stay in place. it has the same amount of attacks as an energy sword.

another idea was just to change the strength of the sentinal beam to match it almost to the ar of pr.

another idea, keep the focus rifle, but with a different design, and add the ability to get headshot medals. so that you still have to take out the shields, but once theyre down and you shoot it into their head, you get a headshot.

another is a Sentinal Rocket, which shoots blasts of pure energy much like the fuel rod and rocket, it has one shot per “clip” but does more damage than the others. it also has a lock on system.

the list continues with all weapons being Sentinal themed.

if you have your own ideas, feel free to post them. and also feel free to praise or critisize my ideas

oh another idea i came up with

Sentinal Pistol: Shoots small bolts of energy. equal to plasma pistol. even has a recharge system which is even more guided than the P Pistol, chasing enemies around corners

another. Sentinal Rifle: shoots short bursts of pure energy, kindof like a semi auto sentinal beam, but equal to power with the BR. slightly less zoom then BR, but smaller crosshair for more accurate shots

you might start to think these names are really repetative, all including 'Sentinal", that is because these are placeholders to what the name would actually be, if these guns are added in. I would hate for the names to be this boring, but i do not care right now about creating names, just functions

oh you mean the Pulse Beam

If all the new weapons are just lasers I won’t buy the game, be more creative. Anti-gravity weapons and stnning your opponnts movements instead of the vehicle(inverse plasma pistol). Maybe even ascarab gun every Halo 2 player has wanted for campaign. :slight_smile:

Frank O’Conner should be a new weapon in Halo 4. So you can shoot backstories at the enemy.

Vulcan Matrix
Fires an interwoven slug of molten metal and shield technology to punch a hole through most armor systems/players. Anti-vehicle weapon, one shot per clip, three max, with no splash damage and some travel time. Think hybrid between a rocket and a laser in terms of use and effectiveness.

UNSC Flachette Gun
SMG meets spiker. Embedded spikes reveal affected player on enemy motion trackers for somewhere between 5-10 seconds.

Trip-Drone Housing
Forerunner themed weapon that launches small scuttling robots that home in on the nearest available target and explode. May include user.

Silly (via easter eggs or some of the more entertaining skulls)
Gruntapult
A self-explanatory shoulder fired weapon.

Frankie’s Assault/Battle Rifle
Standard AR/BR, however with the standard weapon fire effects replaced with Frankie saying “Pew Pew!”

Sub-nuclear atomic blaster
(circa Asimov’s Foundation. IE. the one that sounds like a thunder-clap and makes very serviceable walls go away. Forerunner themed, of course.)

Sputnik’s Club
Gravity Hammer, with a good 20x force multiplier.

For one, don’t mistake early builds for finished products. If it’s not out the door, it’s not done.

And two, this might be a record for the most premature shut down of a suggestion thread. So far all we’ve seen of gameplay is a couple of cinematic animations and about a minute and a half of heavily cut multiplayer featuring only, I remind you, one gun. To us Halo 4 is a world of open possibilities. Don’t -Yoink- on that, it’s a wonderful thing.

How about they bring back the flamethrower from Halo 3?

That was one of the worst things I’ve ever heard…but it was well said and I like the idea.

What would be cool is a gun or tool that shoots a flare to signal like 2-3 drop pods to have ODST’s help fight along side you in Campaign or Multiplayer! :smiley:

A stun gun would also be cool.
