OK so i just got myself a copy of Official Xbox Magazines Halo 4 special and on the cover as im sure most of you are aware is a new looking weapon. I saw on a video online that it has been confirmed that it is not the spartan laser, nor is it a grenade launcher. Heres a link to the video:

In the video he speculates it could be some sort of gauss weapon, which looks convincing when comparing the weapon to a gauss turret.
After reading the article more thoroughly i came to a sub-section which talked about their hands on with Infinity (the new multiplayer) and they said “Weapons we played with include the Assault Carbine, DMG, Plasma Pistol and Magnum. Yes, and the Battle Rifle.”
I didn’t make a spelling mistake there when i said DMG, i did not mean DMR, in the OXM issue it says DMG. Now it could purely be a spelling mistake which however unlikely could be true, but it does make you think. The fact it is a G could mean that the new weapon is gauss related and that they got a go on it, or maybe the G stands for grenade, or it could be a spelling mistake.
However you look at it theres a new weapon and i would love to hear your guys ideas as to what it is. I personally think its a gauss weapon, maybe called the Dainty Mobile Gauss, just kidding lol
Anyway would love to hear what you think, heres a link of the cover for anyone who hasnt seen it:

Wasn’t there already a discussion about this? Anyway, I believe that it’s a Gauss Rifle.
When is this issue going to be available? Anyone know?
See’s Halo 4 Follower then close’s video.

Yeah, he is pretty bad…
Yeah i agree he isnt great but I posted that video to show the quotes that confirm its not other guns. So looks like people think its gauss

hahaha I noticed the spelling error
Uh Halo4 Follower, closes video and jumps off cliff. I always thought that image was of the Assault Carbine, Gauss Rifle? Hmm that would be interesting in Multiplayer like a Concussion Rifle but much more powerful
Yeah it could be fun. And also the assault carbine is supposedly the new plasma rifle, i read in another post, so i think that the gun on the cover is completely different, plus the fact it has the UNSC symbol on it suggests its human.
