If you were to design a weapon that would fit in the halo universe what would it be and how would it work?
My idea is a new energy sword variant that is unstable and doesn’t give the extra speed but you can swing the sword much faster. With each missed swing it would throw plasma and take down the shields of any spartan 20 meters in front of the wielder. A hit would drain 10% of energy but a miss drains 5%. With consecutive swings the sword becomes more unstable until it has to cool down before being able to use it again.
I would love it if halo infinite has a lever action gun that could be duel weilded. A weapon I would like to be in halo infinite is the MA5K Carbine, since it has never been in a halo game. For a new melee weapon it would be cool to use the knight blade but I don’t know how it would work. But I don’t see duel weilding returning due to HCS
Not really new, but maybe a twist on the mauler & brute shot. ill throw in incin & spike grenades in here too. Maybe they can make a comeback with some new features. Miss all of those.

I would like the brutes to have there own sniper. Like it shoots a bigger spike and only has 1 spike in the champer, so it is a huge risk if u miss.

A brute sniper would be a really cool idea, every other enemy variant essentially has there own type of sniper. Why not give one to the brutes!

I always thought a brute sniper would be bolt action or break action.

I can imagine a Brute Stalker using this weapon.
Brutes don’t strike me as snipers.

Bring ALL of the old weapons back, Everything from H2, H3, Reach. Including the grenades.
For new weapons, I would like a pistol that isn’t super powerful. Like a fast firing, moderate damage pistol.
A shotgun with a large magazine and fast fire rate, but much worse range and lower damage than the normal shotgun, possibly like a covenant version of the shotty?
But a melee weapon for Anti Vehicle purposes would be pretty cool too.
A Gravity Hammer modified into a medieval flail. Give it a nice long chain, too.
This is more of a support weapon but… I’ve been wanting to see a weapon akin to a Command Pad, where your character could direct a group of marines on foot or in warthogs toward certain targets. With the draw back that you either have to be in a certain building standing still or you are unable to shoot but you can walk around yelling in the comms.

My sides hurt and no that’s a terrible idea 
A rifle version of the spiker would be cool, like the models shown in HW2. Also, bring back fire & spike grenades.
Maybe a stun grenade that would have the effects of a plasma pistol made to stun vehicles would be nice.
