New Weapon for Season 2?

Do you think we might get a new gun for season 2?

I know some WIP weapons are in the files but it’s not clear if they were cutting room floor or not.

I just want my classic shotgun back.

The Bulldog is an inconsistent balance nightmare.

Unpopular opinion I know. But it would be nice to have the Light Rifle back.

I would like some weapons polished up and placed back into the game. Alot of the Promethean weapons are under this category.

They could for instance, rework all of the Promethean Weapons to become Hardlight damage type, and to inherit Sentinel Beam, Cindershot and Heatwave’s reload style of interruptable charging.

Scattershot - Already reworked into Heatwave

Suppressor - Increase fire rate and increase velocity. Will fill the niche of being Halo Infinite’s version of the SAW.

Binary Rifle - Can be ported 1 to 1. It’s a unique and cool weapon

Incineration Cannon - Already reworked into Cindershot, but we can have a Cinder variant that also explodes into tinier explosions.

Light Rifle - Changed from 3 shot burst to a single shot. Fills the DMR niche for Infinite. Boasts higher damage shots than the BR and Commando, but has lesser shots in the mag and lesser spare rounds. (15/60)

Binary Rifle - Agree 100%

Incineration Cannon - I’d honestly like it to be a beefed up version of the Ravager if they insist on this nerf. Alt-fire is a big rocket-esque explosion that kills on impact and leaves fire on the ground as it travels to it’s target.

Light Rifle - As far as I’m concerned, it was replaced by the stalker rifle. Of course the stalker rifle feels horrible to use most of the time, but it’s a precision gun with 3 shot headshot… so yeah.

Suppressor - Frankly it never should have been invented. The Sentinel Beam should’ve been the Forerunner assault rifle.

I disagree, the Suppressor has strong reminiscence to the SMG and is indeed an SMG, but in a rifle form. It’s basically the CE AR given a different skin.

As a close ranged weapon, it rips shields apart very well, but is weak in the sandbox due to the SAW being functionally similar, except with further spitting range. I think revamping it to become like the SAW but for Infinite is the best way to reintroduce this weapon to the sandbox.

We definitely don’t need the SAW back.

Reviving the Suppressor as an SMG/CE AR would be neat, especially if it has the 60 round mag. But let me ask you this: What would your version of the Suppressor be doing that the AR isn’t already doing?

Suppressor in Halo 4 was trash.

Halo 5 they at least made it a good gun.

SAW is usable in the game and can be spawned with debug tools. There are a handful of vehicles and weapons that didn’t seem to make it into Campaign for some reason. SAW may or may not be a leftover from Halo 5. There was too much cut content for early release to be sure. Either way, it works exactly as expected, so maybe it could come to Fiesta to destroy all the damn sword users

I’ll allow it.

Pray to 343 your ping is lower than theirs if you want it to bulltrue. Thanks to desync, you might already be dead on the server end before your client even fires the shotgun. The sword is super unforgiving while the hammer completely sucks if you are the one using it. It’s a sniper when the enemy uses it.

I have found that Desync is reduced when you aren’t playing against Xbox One players. Their systems CHUG when compared to the Xbox Series X. Honestly, if it weren’t for scalpers; Halo Infinite might have been better if it was exlcusive to the Series S/X and PC. But thanks to scalpers, the new generation was in the hands of sweaty grubby manlets.

So it likely forced their hand to require the game to be functional on the Xbox One, even though it was designed for the Series S/X.

I also fully believe this. If scalpers didn’t make it so hard to get an S/X, Infinite wouldn’t have to release for the Xbox One. I almost never crash in Infinite unless I’m in a party with an Xbox One player. Otherwise it runs perfectly fine on PC. Haven’t had any real issues when playing with a friend on X or PC. I swear the Xbox One 30 fps or some nonsense causes desync.

It is the fact that the Xbox Series X literally has double the processing power of the Xbox One.
So a game designed with that in mind wouldn’t run very well on the Xbox One.

It would be like trying to play a game with the minimum requirement of having 16GB Memory… but your kit has only 8GB Memory. Sure you CAN join matches of Team Fortress 2, but your connection to the servers and how it detects your inputs will be a hinderance to yourself in some areas and to others in other areas.

Maybe the real issue with cross-play was playing with the older console and low spec PCs along the way. Maybe once 343 has finished collecting enough money from players, they’ll drop legacy support like Destiny did. People say they still experience desync with LAN, but were there Xbox Ones in that LAN? Someone should actually look into this

One of the main reasons I am fervently against Cross-Play.
Some consoles are better than others when it comes to games. Sometimes PCs are the best in certain games.
And then you have whatever cheater populations now mixing together and making the whole experience worse.

AND the wide variety of specs means that a lot of players you encounter will have separate desync issues.

They should make a fiesta gun! It shoots random projectiles. Is it gonna be a rocket or a pulse? Who knows… pull the trigger and find out.
