One idea that I’ve had, I think that it’d be nifty for 343 to add weapon and vehicle variants to the MCC as options in forge, customs and even new maps if 343 is gonna add them. I think that variants could be nice for them to add as it’s adding more to the sandbox while not having to make entirely new weapons. As suggestions for some, they could add some form of insta-supercombine needler beam rifle, a detachable gauss turret or a Hannibal Scorpion. Just thought that it’d be a cool idea that, in the grand scheem of things, wouldn’t take much effort to do.
More support for mod tools would allow the community to do this.
I think they’re already sort of doing this through the Digsite work
Imagine Prophets Bane in Halo 2 LOL
Or even some new variants for Reach, 3, and 4.
Big Mac launcher.
Fires condensed cluster burgers that stick on impact.
Big Mac detonates after 2 seconds immediately killing what it’s stuck to or in 2-ft radius.
Cluster burger action spreads other mini-macs around the initial explosion causing large area denial.
Very much like the plasma caster from halo 5 but McDonald’s edition.
Magnum (trash edition)
Jams after 2-3 continued shots,
After 6-8 shots the gun explodes and you magically pull a new one out of the rift of the space time continuum.
Melee breaks the handle and you also grab a new one from space hole.
The tactical reload snaps the frame in half and you give up afterwards with an angered roar then you pull out your other weapon.
Chad gravity hammer.
So heavy Thor nor the most powerful beings of anything in existence can wield it.
(Plus it requires those who’s re true to it to work “is lore not actual function)
So strong upon impact of the ground it destroys a literal galaxy. (Players bodies will ragdoll so hard they disintegrate)
Upon initial swing you hear the “YAYEET” of the prophets. And once it impacts the ground you hear glass breaks “OH NO!!! OUR TABLE!!! ITS BROKEN!!!” As you watch the planet slowly crumble apart inside of a galaxy about explode as well.
Cue announcer:

Yes but I’m not talking about modding. I do think that modding is good for the game yet many people don’t have access to modded content and therefore it shouldn’t just be the only thing on 343’s mind. Modding and modt tools are good, but that doesn’t mean that 343 cannot add content to their own game for the whole of the community and exclude a section of players in the process.
Enable an easier way for players to access modded content without needing to enable/disable EAC on their own.
I disagree that 343 should be pushing out weapon variants in MCC.
personally I feel they should at least consider adding some new weapons to the games through settings and forge, but only those that mostly come from the Digsite work.
The main reason being that since most are already pre-existing weapons within the development files, originally cut for lacking the clearly defined stats they were given in later titles, adding them in now wouldn’t be too much of a change since the function in the sandbox has been defined, and would only add more longevity to the custom game options.
yeah but why do you disagree with them adding more content. I’d like you to add a reason.
Weapon variants requires a very fine tuning for it to not be completely unbalanced. There’s a reason Recon Slayer has to be its own variant, and you’re not finding those weapons outside of that playlist (or fiesta) for a reason.
All honesty I think 343 would fail at balancing it and the entire concept would be time/effort better spent in other areas. Like adding in the missing Halo Online maps.
tbh I didn’t know that there where Halo Online maps that they could add. Also, I don’t see why balancing it would be so tricky if it’s a small feature like a new vehicle variant. Additionally, if it’s forge it doesn’t need to be spotless in it’s balence. However, I do understand your point and I like your idea about Halo Online maps
I would agree with this. Totally fine with crazy stuff in forge.
I’m really honestly pleased that I’ve finially found someone on waypoint who I can have a civil discussion with rather than just people agreeing with literally anything I say or hating every fiber of my being becuse I said something that they didn’t agree with lol
Waypoint at its finest. But no seriously more sandbox items are a definite need.
