New way to get on top of monument

(Maybe) I nearly did I’d but kept falling slightly short.

So on the lowest side of the monument I think it might be pausible to use the man cannon thrust jump to clamber onto the top of monument. There is also a small ledge up there but I don’t know if it can be stood on or if it’s just possible to jump off it.

My main point to making this is, is the top of the monument clamberable? I was close enough to it that I feel I should of been able to clamber it with out the need of crouch clamber but crouch clamber didn’t work. Is its invisible boxes bigger than its textures?

I’m about to change my button mapping just to make that movement more fluid I hope I won’t regret it.

Unless do you know if crouch clamber is necassary for most of those spots.

I dont use it

I did it on accident months ago, so I’m pretty sure it should still be clamberable. Unless I’m not remembering correctly, and I managed to crouch jump after the thrust instead of clambering.

Comparing it to other ledges I think it may be slightly different to other ledge.

I only came across it by mistake too and nearly did it perfectly the 1st time. I think it might be dependant on the connection to the server cause I compared theater to what it was like in game and in theatre I thrust later than I was doing in game.

The closest I got on reattempts was with using hover but I don’t think I should even need it.

I don’t know how much of an impact in terms of successfully reaching it this has, but I do know that I had the Upgraded Thrusters armor mod equipped. That could give you that extra boost needed to make the jump successfully.

I’ve never actaully been up there but it’s some thing new to do. I knew about it I just never bothered might save it for 2/3 cap.

It gets even better. Saw a group of 4 people on top of the Monument all lined up at the edge shooting at the Warden. It literally was like shooting ducks in a row XD

It’s a popular spot, I’m surprised a lot of people don’t go up there.

Edit: And yes, the roof of the monument is clamberable.

I think it’s cause the core base is a much better place to attack from than on top of a place with limited cover.
