I average 32.5 kills per warzone game with mainly load out weapons (br/dmr), and also with a 2.1 k/d. Lately I’ve been trying to go into warzone alone without a team and have been getting wrecked, only averaging 15 kills at most and going largely negative in the k/d department.
This new update has made it impossibly difficult to lone wolf any kind of warzone game, especially with the rate everyone is getting gold packs and new req weapons. With the lower req levels and so many reqs people are getting now…it has made any type of load out weapon obsolete during a warzone match. All warzone games are now made up of power weapons and vehicles. There is no use for load out weapons because people don’t need them anymore which saturates the whole idea of warzone on the first place, migh t as well call it warzone turbo.
The whole idea of the req system is to reward players every so often for their accomplishments, not just keep feeding them weapon/vehicle one right after the other. There needs to be an actual reward system and more balanced game play between reqs and loadouts. But all of that balance went out the door with the new warzone updates. It’s no longer the competitive game it used to be with working your way up the req levels, now it’s just spawning req after req after req. How does that add Balance to warzone or why do we even need loadout weapons such as the br or dmr now?
Yeah, I know what you’re saying. I’ve always played warzone with nothing other than load out weapons, and it has always been a challenge. Not so much in the sense of how it affects my stats - they’re garbage and always will be - but in the sense of it being pointless to try killing enemy after enemy in their tank or banshee ultra, and being equally pointless to be competing against my banshee ultra-equipped teammates for the odd enemy foot soldier. More and more I find myself in the middle of a match saying, “Why am I here? What am I supposed to do if I’m not willing to just die over and over again at the hands of some kid with more reqs than I have hours left in my life?”
Exactly! I’m not saying reqs are bad but it’s just ridiculous how often they appear, it’s literally one right after the other. You would have to burn through your req collection just to keep up. I use reqs but only when I really need to in a strategic situation. I don’t want to have to spawn a new power weapon or vehicle every single time just to keep up with the other team or just to stay alive against an unstoppable opponent. I love my loadout weapons but I hate competing against a full team with power weapons or vehicles. It ruins what warzone was originally supposed to be about. You can’t reward a player life after life after life with those reqs. There needs to be a balance to how many and how often you’re allowed to use a req, or how many reqs are available to use on the battlefield.
