This actually sounds like a pretty good idea, one of the better warzone game types of heard of.
I LIKE IT…what a cool idea
I like it! Sounds really fun! It could also be a fun concept to add to the BTB maps. If there are only 2 AI on the map, it would be really fun to use the smaller BTB maps compared to the WarZone maps. Thoroughly love this idea, it sounds fun as hell lol
I’d like to see this with a scarab, or just to have scarabs in warzone firefight as a “Boss Round”. It would be ten minutes long, be a challenge, and still be fun.
Heck you could use the stupid OP Mantis bosses from Noctus instead of Wardens, but still a pretty damn good idea.

There’s a glitch where if you start pushing te Mantis with your tank it confuses the AI and it crouches instead of shooting you.

I love that glitch! It makes fighting the mantises and their OP traits more bearable.
In addition to this idea, I think it would sound like great idea if we could play objective game type focused around mammoths on rails; the opposing team either trying to capture or destroy it before reaching a certain point, while the defending team tries to protect it until then.
The only issue I could see is how to stop the AI getting confused or running off. I am guessing they would have to put it on rails. Probably wouldn’t work for Warden as he needs to stay still to use most of his attacks. Unless he moves to set points on the maps and stays there as normal for a minute before moving up?
What if they made it a Mammoth? Obviously you would lose the novelty of having a boss fight alongside you but it would be easier to implement to make it a big vehicle that moves on rails.

Psychic.
if this gametype were to succeed then we shud completely omit points for spartan kills…otherwise ppl will just kill enemy spartans and ignore bosses (ipingy-spiteful etc)
make killing the bosses the only way to get points like how in wza theres no point counter.

Yeah, like WZ: Assault deaths don’t really matter.
You know I was watching Pingy get a 100 kills on WZ and it really shows how much of a difference those vehicles make. I would not have said he was anything special when he just had a battle rifle but he gets that Helios and my life…
Sounds like walker assault from Battlefront. Still a good idea, although if the bosses were stupidly op when they reach the center they would kind of awkwardly stand in front of each other and shoot unless given room to move. Imagine two Mantises standing in front of each other, not moving, just firing their chaingun at the other’s exoskeleton.

Well I wouldn’t be too keen on the Mantis. Wouldn’t the Mantis AI keep its distance?
I think it would be cooler if you had a grunt mech or a warden. Blue vs red warden. So in CC they would just start laying into eachother with their swords.
Hey, maybe when this happens the bosses actually lock swords and expose their cores on the back? So then its just a chaotic last minute dash to knock out the others warden?
Ideally the AI would just move to a set area and then act as it normally does when they deploy in Warzone. So they’ll attack whatever is near them, but won’t drift too far off course and would know when to advance.
I can see this being glitch central, if one teams boss stops shooting for some unknown reason it can cause frustration to the player.
I like the idea however, you would try to weaken the enemy boss as much as you can before the big fight between bosses.
Maybe along the way your team can spend req points to uparade (not heal) their boss.
I swear though… if there is a “destroy the enemy core” objective you can count me out… (that part is more to 343)

Bit like a tower defense thing? Maybe spawn watchers or other AI Prometheans to escort the thing?
Yeah defo not heal the boss as that would be easily abused and gamey.
I mean obviously most of the damage would come from the team putting out the most damage on the others boss. I am not sure if one warden getting more attacks on the opponent would matter too much.
