So this is my idea guys, instead of just a regular voting system where each person gets one vote, those who are higher skilled get more votes. So a level 1 gets a single vote, a level 10 gets 10 votes, etc. etc. and a level 50 get 50 votes + an extra 50 bonus points. Now these votes can spread out across different maps so you could put 10 votes on one map 25 on another and 65 on The Randomizer. That’s right a randomizer, instead of none of the above you get a random map and gametype. Furthermore you never get to see what other people are voting for until the 1 minute voting period has ended. My friend also came out with the credit betting system where you can bet your credits on a certain map being selected before being selected, and if it is selected and you win the game you win double credits back. So what do you guys think, yay or nay.
EDIT: You could also have a special 343 people selected every month at random. These people get the special ability to automatically choose whatever game they want every game for that month.
System 2: The trigger finger system. In this system there would be 3 maps + none of the above. Each button: A,X,Y,B are given to each option and everybody has to mash the button for the map they want. There will be a blue dot in the middle of the 4 options which will move towards the option which is being mashed the most. Once it has reach that option, it is then selected and the game starts as normal.

you shouldn’t have to break your controller in half, mashing buttons to select a map
plus, some people just don’t have the finger speed (myself included)
also, modded controllers will have a huge advantage
I’m just going to assume you’re joking about the first thing and sorta joking about the second thing.
The first option is beyond ridiculous. I can explain for hours as to why it wouldn’t work. The main thing being that higher ranks are usually better than lower ranks. So not only are they already better and probably going to win the vote as most of them full team… They would pretty much be guaranteed to play what they wanted. TBH I think the voting system should just die and you play what you get. People are such picky babies when it comes to map selection. Boy do I miss the Halo 2 days…

You would have been better only discussing these with your friends, i don’t think anybody here except your friend and you actually approve of this…All this is just too non-balanced and cliche’ for a halo game
Probably the worst voting system ever suggested. Well maybe not the worst ever, but it’s still pretty bad. Although I could see a variation of this system being strongly implemented to penalize quitters. Say, everyone gets 20 votes but if you quit x amount of times your votes get halved, quit x amount of times again and they get halved again. Seems legit.

No. I prefer the current democratic systems. Higher skill gets more votes? What so they can get the map they know like the back of their hand everytime? And button mashing? Come on, this is Halo not streetfighter.
I would be entirely satisfied if they made it completely randon but you vote on gametypes.

No.

In all seriousness, are you trolling?

What is this? Video poker Halo?

Well if they were to do this I would rage quit alot!!!
I’m honestly not sure if OP is being serious. If so, these are terrible ideas. They just wouldn’t work very well. What if someone with a high rank wanted a map that nobody else wanted, but he was matched up with people with a lot lower ranks? Then there would be no way the majority would get the map they want.
The second system would just be annoying because there might be someone with a turbo button on their controller. Most people would get annoyed by it anyways.
I think Halo 4’s voting system should be like Arena in Reach. (In case you haven’t played Arena, it’s the same as the rest of Reach, but you can only see what you’re voting for.) This would get rid of all of the people who think it’s fun to vote at the last second, or who like to constantly change their vote.
The first means that players with more experience get more say over which game & map gets chosen, so they’re obviously going to pick whatever will help them beat the other team easier. This just means that lower levelled players will get trampled all over on.
Option two will give everyone a sore thumb before the game even starts.
I’d honestly have no choice over what I get to play like in Halo 2 over both of these options. The current system works fine, but needs to be adjusted so that if two games are tied the selection needs to be random rather than whichever is closest to the top of the list.
IMO they should go back to Halo 3’s Veto system. That way we get to play more gametypes on more maps. When people get to choose what to play, they usually pick the same things over and over. I’m fed up of playing Slayer on Countdown and Sword Base all the time. Even if I didn’t really like a certain map in Halo 3, it was at least a change from playing the same thing again,
