Some people are arguing about whether or not the banshee will be the more OP flying vehicle in H4. I feel like ive come up with a solution. How about we combine the falcon with the rocket hog? In other words, lose the machine gunner positions and strap some missle pods to that thing? It would have the power of the hornet but the slow speed of the falcon, making it a force to be reckoned with, yet an easy target. The rocket falcon could go toe to toe with the banshee and have a good chance at winning without having a gunner at its sides, not to mention making people run for cover when it flies by. Of course it would have to be balanced, i would assume it would lock on to air vehicles but not ground vehicle and infantry.
Im not sure if 343i has stopped listening to us about these kind of topics but i hope not. So what do you as the community think? Yes or no to the Rocket Falcon?
Orrrrr, instead of making two OP air vehicles, they simply revert the Banshee’s trick speeds to Halo 2/Halo 3 speeds, and not the super-fast-impossible-to-hit speeds from Reach.

Not sure what you mean by that, because that is far more OP than any singular Banshee. If the Falcon is bad enough with the two gunner seats, why remove those for rockets?

I’d assume that Banshees are balanced now, and rocket Falcons would be OP. Anyway, with this much left to go in the game’s production, I doubt 343 would add a whole new vehicle.
That would actually weaken the Falcon further. Banshee flips in Reach break lock-on, so it would make rocket pods pointless.
Besides, the Falcon is already essentially a hard counter to the Banshee. People just don’t realise it for whatever reason. It’s really easy to avoid Banshee bombs in the Falcon, and the Banshee can’t engage directly with its plasma cannons or it gets destroyed by the Falcon’s superior chainguns.
The Banshee is better at killing everything else (more efficient due to only requiring 1 occupant), but the Falcon is great at killing the Banshee. Then again, so is the DMR and the Sniper Rifle but so many people still don’t even think about just shooting the damn thing even after almost 2 years…

i agree with you on that last assumption, thats why i added the last part in. I dont know if 343i was taking requests for new weaponry/vehicles but i jumped into it. And yes, while it still seems OP i still want to stick to my topic. Ive been wanting a falcon that shoots rockets for a while.
