New vehicle idea utilizing the H4 Revenant model!

Ever since Halo 4, the Covenant have been severely lacking in the mid-sized vehicle department. While I would love to see the return of the Revenant from Reach and the Spectre from H2, something completely new would also be a warm welcome.

For those of you who where unaware that the Revenant was originally going to be in Halo 4 But was cut late in development, I’ll direct you to these pictures so you can get an idea as to what it looks like.

Now as you can see, the Revenant in H4 was nothing like the Revenant in Reach. Now while I don’t mind appearance changes, functional changes should not go to this degree on the same vehicle. What made the Revenant in Reach so amazing was the fact that it was a mobile mini Wraith. The H4 version, however, had its plasma mortar replaced with a plasma turret-a gunner position. So, functionally, the H4 Revenant was nearly identical to the Spectre, and almost nothing like the original Revenant! Things like that are not ok in my eyes. If you’re gonna completely change the functionality of a vehicle then change the name too.

Now while the H4 Revenant does have its functionality issues, it looks damn good. It would be a real shame to let that amazing model to go to waste, to hear is my idea for the new vehicle utilizing its model:

I couldn’t really think of a good name for it, and Poltergeist was the only supernatural creature I could think of that hasn’t already been taken, but the name just doesn’t really sit well with me.

Anyway, the vehicle would be a mid-sized assault vehicle that could also carry a passenger. I would photoshop the model changes I would make onto Image 6 but my laptop is -Yoink- right now, so I’ll have to describe them here, and to do so I’ll have to refer you to Image 6.

Notice that large pike on the nose? First thing I would do is cut off the front half of it and concave the newly created flat spot inward. Right there is the barrel of its only weapon: a fuel rod cannon identical to the one on the Banshee. Lastly I would add the appropriate colors and textures to make it look like the fuel rod barrel on the H5 Banshee.

The final major change I would make is the rear section. For this part, I’m gonna refer you to Image 1. Notice that blue/grey table looking thing in the turret position? I would change that to make it look like a seat for the passenger to sit on (the passenger will be facing backwards). The next thing I would do is lower the flood of that area to allow for legroom.

Now this passenger position is very unique in that the passenger has the ability to activate a fully enclosed shield around him to protect him from incoming fire. The drawback of this is that the passenger will be unable to shoot while the shield is activated, and in CTF modes, a flag carrier will be unable to activate the shield while riding in the passenger seat due to the size of the flag.

Well there you have it guys. Here is my new vehicle idea for Halo Infinite. I’m not really a fan of the name Poltergeist so if you have any other name suggestions please comment them. Also please share your thoughts and opinions on this.

Gonna tag these guys because I want this to be seen by the team.

If Halo Infinite really is open world then there needs to be a large variety of vehicles

A good name may be “apparition”.

If ONI ever revamped the Revenant, or another Covenant vehicle, “Spook” would be a great name.

I think that if mid sized covenant vehicle would be added, i would pefer it to be something like spectre from Halo 2. It would be about time for it to make a return and its basically covenant equivalent of warthog in a sense its more team based vehicle which what the thing called “revenant” (for some reason even though it worked different from revenant) in H4 was supposed to be.

So surely, the game could use more vehicles. Maybe we will see the return of the brute vehicles also, who knows.

And if prometheans are going to be there then at least give them land vehicles or something.
Maybe even a forerunner tank that was supposed to be in Halo 2.

I agree completely. I’ve always loved covie mid sized vehicles. Just too bad that all of them only got 1 game.

Give me the Spectre and it’ll be fine. I loved using that thing to essentially climb vertical walls.

Spectre was fun but it felt insanely sluggish. Much prefer the Revenant.

Revenant was a mini wraith. Spectre was a little closer to a warthog

I know. The Revenant being a mini Wraith was why I much prefer it over the Spectre. It was just so much fun to drive around. But then again the Spectre never made it into multiplayer or even H2A so the only experience I have in it was using it to fight Sentinels and Flood with vehicles.

Sounds cool. I say do it, the more vehicles the better.

Absolutely. Open world games need massive sandboxes, which means more vehicles.
