I’m only speculating, but its fairly well known that a plasma launcher can be dropped by enemies in FF (a plamsa launcher is a weapon from reach kinda like a cross between a hydra and a plasma caster). I think this could mean that there most certainly will be CONTENT updates after FF.
My Evidence/ Justification
- 343 likes efficiency. They remix maps so that they can give us maps in between the time it takes 2 make new ones, since halo 5 maps take a long time 2 make (they need a lot of balancing and testing unlike eg cod maps ). So why would they make a model for a weapon if players were never REALLY going to experience it.
- Lots of players will be trying halo 5 for free and I won’t be surprised if it sells like 1 million copies (almost all my friends who don’t have the game have tried it and loved it and most want 2 buy it). 343 can make req money off these players and can make more free dlc to keep them interested in the franchise. this free trial thing was a masterstroke.
- 343 is a subsidiary (is that the right term?) of MS, so money aint an issue. I bet if MS sold itself and gave the money 2 charity all poverty in the world could be eliminated several times over. so resources aren’t an issue for 343 never has been its all time management
- They have repeatedly said LATEST content drop SO FAR not LAST. Which implies that there are more on the way

I just finished a round of wzff and guess what? I picked up a plasma launcher! I didn’t even see it on the ground, wanted to pick up a fuel rod but a mate was faster. The strange thing is, it hasnt a model if you hold it, the shots have no sound and the explosions neither. Maybe 343 just hadn’t time to finish it? What do you think?
