I’m stuck downloading this update at 5kbs or it just stops all together. I’ve ran speed tests to confirm I’m getting the correct speed through my Ethernet (80Mbsdown and 10Mbs up). I can download other games at normal speeds but at this rate this 1.3 gig update is going to take 24 hours. This is a joke, with this games falling population I cant imagine this is an issue caused too many people trying to install at the same time nor is this anywhere near peak hours.
I would try a hard reset then try to download it again.
Try cancelling the download and then trying again or pause it and resume. It was instant for me I don’t know what the problem is but you can try restarting your xbox as well

Power cycle your console and your home network and try again if it’s still acting up.

I’m blaming the game because it is the game. I’ve already power cycled my network and console before posting on the forums. I’m not going to come to the forums to be given information anyone knows. I’ve ran a speed test on my Ethernet to confirm my cable is pulling the right speeds. I’ve EVEN installed the 10 gig update on for honor in 25 minutes before I posted on here.
Did you even read my first post? You cant fathom why I’d blame the game when I’ve already confirmed that I’m only having the problem with halo 5.
I always hard reset my console. These Xbox ones are pretty finicky. Underpowered really. My download was going really fast then at 10% it froze for a bit. Then was going slow got to 12% and sped back up again. At 30% already.

Already done that. It makes no difference. As I said before in my first post other games install just fine.
Call Microsoft and let them know how you feel. It be them 343 man. They just want the community to die. Cause they wasted months on end fixing heavy aim just to make it not work as a joke, right?

I pulled the Ethernet out of my xbox, ran a speed test on my ISP’s site and everything checked out 100% (I was getting my 80 down and 10 up) so I plug the cord back into my xbox.
I tried to download the 10 gig update on for honor, (THAT ONLY TOOK 20 minutes) it was downloading at 70Mbs+\
So yes. As much as a few select individuals refuse to believe the possibility that the problem could be with the perfectly functioning halo 5, it is.

Try turning off all your other devices consuming wifi. Divert all power to the xbox.

You may want to scale back the attitude a few notches here.
Your OP indicated NOTHING about recently downloading other content, just that you had at some point. We can only work with the information you give us and when you give vague information and place the blame in incorrect places, there is not much to work with.
The update was just released which means everyone playing the game is being forced to download. Which means the CDN is being affected and flooded by users needing to download the update which is resulting in slow downloads for now.

You dont seem to understand what it means when I test the Ethernet cable running to my xbox and prove that its sending 80Mbs down into my console

Just give it time, I’m sure it will start and finish soon. I’ve waited hours for my downloads of other games sometime.
