What is everyone’s opinion about the new update to HCS?
My opinion this update is -Yoink- the battle rifle is broken and the gunfighter magnum is even worse. HCS is was a great game type and they want to change it. Change team arena or something else. #Halo5isdead let’s start the tread and maybe they will listen.
They aren’t keeping the HCS playlist an Oddball preview playlist permanently, they’re testing out and showing people how Oddball would play if it were to be played in a competitive environment with HCS settings applied. It’ll revert back to it’s normal self after a little while. Asking people to start a negative hashtag trend doesn’t offer any actual constructive feedback at all.

Excatly. I am glad 343 changes things up every now and then. Sorry I don’t like the same game play over and over again. Sure not all changes will be good necessarily or to all players but it’s better to try new things out and give them a chance rather than repeat the same stuff. With every change you will have some that like it and some that don’t.

And to be fair, they gave forewarning in a previous community update explaining the change being made to the HCS playlist. I can understand not everybody reads the community blog posts either, so I wouldn’t blame people for being a little upset over their favorite playlist being changed, but some things need to be taken with a grain of salt. There’s usually a reason given for small changes like this, and in this case, there was.
Honestly it’s not too bad. It’ll be something to get used to. Plus it’s prob not gonna stay too long and they are bringing normal hcs back. Jeez some people on twitter acting like it’s going away forever. It’s just a test for something that may or may not happen in a pro setting. If it gets proper negative feed back they won’t put it in hcs. If the population likes it it might be put in hcs. All in all hcs playlist will return so don’t worry so much.
Without even playing it I wouldn’t mind seeing it added to HCS only because I am not the biggest fan of strongholds. So if they replaced strongholds with odd ball that wouldn’t be so bad IMO
