Where’s a permanent team doubles playlist? And not on terrible breakout style maps like they did for Valentine’s day. Also would like to see remake of maps like guardian, or other old h3 maps that haven’t been redone yet. Maybe epitaph? Just a thought.
So far we will have to settle for Forged remakes which are pretty spot on for the most part.
As seen by the one and only Griff Ball map included in the February update (not a 343 map)… it would seem that 343 is not interested in remaking classic maps at this time for what ever reason. It may be that 343 is confident in the forge communities ability to perform this function… And from the sound of it 343’s map designers are out classed by some our community forgers anyway, even with the limited tool set.

Well I wouldn’t really say that. A lot of the non-forge maps are amazing, both in 5 and 4. Only a few do I dislike, many are good and some amazing. I just get the feeling that, despite the scale of the studio and responsibility they have, their resources are incredibly limited and/or shifted to focus much more on REQs and revenue by transactions.
The stuff that doesn’t really get any love is that which hasn’t been there since launch. Think about it, stuff like Grifball, Doubles, BTB and other playlist don’t really get anything made with studio equipment, just forge. Even breakout has been replaced now by community maps (for the better), but the point still stands that somehow money seems to flow everywhere but the playlists we got after launch/ those that aren’t popular (Breakout).
Which makes sense, but still. I’d really like to see BTB return to its old glory, made with studio assets and all that stuff.
These things will probably come out in the coming updates. I wouldn’t panic unless we approach the last update with no rumor of these features being added.
I dont think we will see classic things like good maps and/or classic gamemodes simply because 343i wants to get rid of the old Halo fans that keep complaining. But I could be wrong and maybe it is just because there are not enough players in Arena.

Stop asking for doubles, the majority of the player base doesn’t care about it. Play customs if you want 2v2 and let 343 concentrate on things more people may care about.

Does player count in a match impact the popularity of the playlist? I’d assume that Warzone would be the most populated playlist due to it requiring 24 people to play, where as doubles only needs 4 to play a match.
Doubles should be added permantly as its small player count won’t pull people away from the other modes. All 343 needs to do is put in the playlist that was featured and leave it there. No harm will be done. Especially if it’s dead last each time. It’ll just make the community more satisfied. And would require minimal work on 343s end. They’ve put the playlist out there before, so they can still spend more time on the “more important” things as you would put it.

The stat I saw didn’t go by player count, but by total games played. Meaning doubles had the least number of games played during its time.
With much faster game times, if there was any normal population playing the play list, it would have a higher percentage of the total games played.
But your logic is sound. I guess putting it there would have a low impact on the other playlists.
