From the original 1999 armour to a Grunt plush! Out of everything this is probably the best content update yet. I rock the Sword and Board back accessory but that Grunt plush will replace it.
I’m a bit impressed with the update as it has given us few additional ways to customize our Halo 3, Halo Reach and Halo 2A Spartan. If I’m not mistaken, there do currently exist 66,242,981,376,000 ways to customize our Halo 3 Spartan, 8,816,895,360 ways to customize our Halo Reach Spartan and 4,096 ways to customize our Halo 2A Spartan if coloring options are excluded.
If I’m not mistakes, I have enough customization combinations in Halo 3 that I won’t run out of new combinations even if I switch to a new combination once every second for 2 million years.
Was not expecting the ORION armor at all especially for H2A. Overall all the new items are super awesome, lookin forward to more updates in 2022!
I hope these don’t turn out to be 20 season points each, there’s no way I’ll be able to earn enough within the time period. I hate that rank ups don’t award season points after a very short time, lots of us ranked up far before season points were even a thing. The challenges don’t provide enough especially when I can’t find the time to do enough MP matches in a week to finish a challenge.

Agreed; in a way, I dislike the new content updates like these because I’m already 300+ items behind in my collection, and would need to get every weekly point for 9 months straight to get everything that I haven’t missed that was season-exclusive. Long story short, they REALLY need to increase the opportunities to earn season points beyond the rank-up cap. I don’t think even doubling the weekly point allotment would be doing enough, but it would be a start at least.
I like it. the only thing that slightly annoys me is that it’s 90% Halo 3 content as usual. But at least we’re getting 1 new armour for H2A, and not just any armour.
And I’ve gotta say that SPI inspired armour looks soooo cool. I’ll be playing some MCC the coming days for sure

Hopefully the armour was some sort of internal test to see how difficult it is to add cosmetics to Halo 2: Anniversary. Adding the SPI armour could very well mean we get more Halo 2: Anniversary content next year.

I would guess that the system in Halo 2A is designed in a such a way that it’s relatively easy to add new armors. However, it’s a different question if it’s deemed to be worth the time to add new armors.
The main reasoning why I state this is that before this update, there used to exist few options to customize your Halo 2A Spartan and Elite. If remember correctly, it was 6 different classes of armor pieces with 3 items in each class for Spartans and 4 classes for Elites with 3 items in each class.
Another comment related to how the system is designed in Halo 2A is that it would probably be extremely stupid if it was designed in a such a way that it could only accommodate 3 elements in each class as it wouldn’t futureproof the system in the scenario that 343 Industries would decide to add additional items in any of the customization classes.
Some of it looks a little gaudy, but it’s nice that they are marking the occasion. I hope it is not all just dumped in the exchange and there are some interesting challenges or some other novel ways of unlocking some of the content.
I do wish they had fixed the positioning of the original Halo 3 shoulders before using them as the base for the Duke shoulders. They still all have that awkward piece of the model poking out and colliding through the player model. It’s been like that since they updated it and added techsuits.
Yeah I was shocked 343 finally added new armor for halo 2 anniversary which I has been waiting for for 4 years and the Xbox backpack and stuffed grunt are awesome imagine if in muitiplayer people wearing the grunt do the objective but be pacifist that’s would be interesting
Love that Orion armor. Not sure I’ll use any of the other stuff that gets added to The Exchange (SPI is the exception), but Orion is a classic!
I wonder when those nice halo 3 ogx weapons skins will be available
