I believe there’s now enough evidence to say definitively that yes, we will shortly be receiving a UNSC VTOL-style vehicle in an update. This will not be the Falcon or Hornet, but rather a brand-new vehicle, known as AV-49. There was mention of it in the Local Units Canon Fodder released a while back, and I believe they allude to it in another update concerning the campaign changes and Score Attack. This, coupled with the fact that it’s mentioned in conjunction with the Stinger armor, has me thinking that we’ll see it soon.
If I’m wrong, feel free to crash the hype train. If I’m right… called it! What do you guys think? It’s somewhat scarce evidence, but, y’know, hunt the truth and all that.

Like I said, feel free to call it. But, why the Stinger armor? If that’s what it was, I think that would have been revealed by now. Who knows?
Is there anyone else that’s excited by the possibilities?
You should know it’s a bad idea to speculate this kind of stuff from the Falcon incident.

we’ took away the banshee and phaeton to give you, a mini-tank that no one asked us for, we even reduced the range and velocity of the gun-goose rockets to have the mini-tank seem powerful. I hope you’re welcome and enjoy the new non-air vehicle you guys didn’t ask for pulling the op banshee and phaeton was the best thing we ever did.
There’s other things mentioned in the flavor text of various armors that don’t exist in game. I can’t remember them all, but other people have found them. So an offhand reference in the flavor text of one set of armor and a canon fodder entry just sounds like world building to me.

While that may be true, the comments are more frequent now, and they’re accompanied by something like this: [REDACTED- ONI PERSONNEL ONLY]I’m sure it’s going to be a bit of a reveal, whatever the AV-49 is. My best guess is that it’s going to be in Halo 5, given how poorly everyone reacted to the lack of one in Memories of Reach.

The new VTOL they said in cannon fodder is more than likely the Nightingale from the Halo Wars 2 beta but if there is a UNSC flying vehicle coming it should be the Falcon
In all honesty it looks like a unsc variant of the pheaton. Not that it’s bad cause it looks bad -Yoink-

Just curious- what Easter Egg did you find to get that emblem?
I doubt they’re be able to cook up a new vehicle in response to disappointment with MoR. Notice that we haven’t gotten a new vehicle class at all. Just like there’s be no wholly new enemies just variants.

Well, they’re working on something. My guess is that the new vehicle was originally due out the same time as the Stinger armor, but was pushed back when so much of Hog Wild got behind schedule. We can hope!
