New Trailer Today? (False alarm)

Just a heads up- Xbox have started uploading all the pre-e3 trailers today, there’s been a good 5 in the past hour, all with the Series X logo. Think we’ll get a new Halo trailer today?

UPDATE:
Xbox’s official twitter has said that their event is gonna be on the 7th of May (NEXT THURSDAY!) and that they’re going to be showing off the games for the series X!

We could get a small preview, though i wouldn’t expect anything substantial until June.

Thank you for the heads-up

How are you seeing the trailers are showing up? I can’t find them.

They’re on the Xbox YouTube channel. No Halo trailer though.

Think they said that only 3rd party titles are being shown off, and exclusives will be shown this summer.

I highly doubt Infinite will get anything but perhaps a slight mention at the upcoming event. Here’s the evidence:

  • Halo games are notoriously absent from Inside Xbox events, to the point where it’s almost an inside joke - This tweet and this forum post basically are both saying that the upcoming event is about 3rd party partners, and E3 is the big XGS event; so I think we’d be lucky if Halo is even brought upYeah, I only have 2 numbers lol. But I think the later point is more important. At the event I believe they’re going to be doing a hardware showcase, so at best Infinite could be a part of that. And no, I doubt we’ll be getting an Infinite trailer today.

EDIT: Apparently the Xbox E3 event might even be in July instead of June (dead link, deleted tweet responding to someone asking if the event is in June or July, the response was “Not June”; from an Xbox guy). This doesn’t 100% confirm anything, but it’s not 100% confirmed that the event is in June either.

EDIT 2: Pointless edit, just brought this up because I have no clue what this means. It’s so incredibly vague. Maybe it means something, or maybe nothing at all. Probably nothing.

EDIT 3: This is not sourced, just my thoughts. If they’re really going to do a full fledged flighting program akin to TMCC, I’m guessing that May/June flighting would be announced at the Inside Xbox. For comparison, Halo 3 launched in September and had beta testing in May. But this is only if they plan on following a similar route and if they plan on never releasing a Halo game without flighting, as they said.

Doght it but hope it is

Ah just read some further details. Yeah the thing next week is just 3rd party games. Still, I’m sure there’ll be lots of cool stuff being shown off!

I think the May 7 event is just third party or at least mostly. First party including Infinite will be at the later event most likely.

Hard to say, yes it’s showing off 3rd party games using it but it be just weird if Microsoft don’t at least tease Halo there since it’s Microsoft flagship game or at least give info an official Halo focused stream date. Whatever the case I think Microsoft know a majority of people watching will be hoping they show something Halo related since it’s the main reason why most even got into Xbox.

Microsoft is probably showing these 3rd party trailers today, so at the Event a week from now they can focus primarily on first party games.
I do not believe Halo Infinite will be shown next week, Maybe mentioned, but it’ll be saved for the July event. I think instead we could get another first party game announcement. The rumored Fable reboot will probably be the big announcement next week.

What were the Five games released so far? I only seen AC Valhalla

It’s set for Third-Party games, as others have said, but I’m hopeful for a teaser for Infinite, even if it’s just part of a trailer for the Series X or Xbox overall. It would feel like a wasted opportunity for Microsoft to not show ANYTHING Halo, considering Halo is obviously their flagship series by far. You don’t want to make your fans wait too long, else the hype and excitement just fades away.

Just be sure to link it here, when it comes out

Not gonna lie I was pretty disappointed when I found out that next weeks Inside Xbox is only 3rd party titles. I really thought this was is it but no. I was already feeling anxious for Halo Infinite gameplay ever since E3 2019 but now I just feel depressed. If in the rare case Infinite gameplay does get shown May 7 I’ll be very shocked.

Heard about this earlier. Hope we get some good insight on Halo Infinite. Althoigh I think they’ll really drop the news in June around E3’s usual time stamp.

I don’t know why, but the link to your twitter post about the event being in July got taken down. Would there be a reason why?

another though, anyone notice they haven’t released a community update on waypoint in over a month and 10 days? I find that funky. I’ve looked at the past ones and they are all spaced out by around a month. I know there is a pandemic going on and all but, are they holding the community update back because they might be revealing something next week and they will post it then? Let me know what you guys think!

I’m not sure why it was taken down. The tweet was from Aaron Greenberg (Xbox Games Marketing at Microsoft) and solely said “Not June”. So I’m guessing he probably took it down because someone told him to or because he figured out he said too much? If that comment (and it’s fate) doesn’t hold bearing on the question of when Microsoft’s E3 event is, I don’t know what does. So I believe the event is not in June.

This could either mean the E3 event takes place in July or May (which is technically still on the table), and I consider July to be more likely. But I’m not sure about any of this. It’s all speculation.

Sorry I am new to getting invoolved in the online community but is Aaron Greenberg Klobrille? Also, you think what I said about the community updates here on waypoint means anything?
