New to Halo series and struggling...

Hi… Noob alert - sorry…

I talk a lot so bear with - I am just excited at the game. Ok, Question first then my intro…

QUESTION: Are there maps for the Halo 2 campaign game? I keep going around in circles and have no idea where I am supposed to go. In Halo CE at least there are markers… Or… any advice on how to navigate around? (I am geographically challenged hehe).

Intro:
Ok ok, you may laugh, or cry, buuuuut… I have been avoiding Halo for years because I thought it was online multiplayer only. I am a campaign player; and a serious one - just to clear that one up. I have an XBox360 and no real plans to upgrade as yet… but I want to sometime not too far off! Multiplayer - I sometimes have no real aim when I am in a frenzy so allies or enemies get it in the head; I am rubbish. I choose not to be hated therefore I avoid the multiplayer scene. Plus the last time I did embark upon it, I failed at staying alive… miserably.

Anyway… So… I recently bought Halo: Combat evolved - anniversary (was wowed by the ability to switch from old to new - in fact, I couldn’t complete the final warthog run in the re-released format - had to do it on old. Got it first time) and I am totally addicted. So much that I went out and bought Halo 2 (XBox), Halo 3, Halo Reach and Halo 4. Phew. That’s going to keep me bsy for a few days…

I am a bit sad that Halo 2 Anniversary does not seem to be available for the 360 :frowning: but I have started to enjoy the retro look a little. Not yet used to the dual-weilding.

Well, thanks for reading - at least some! hope you can help!

Hey OP, glad to see you picked up Halo now. I may be slightly biased, but they are great games
For your question, I’m not sure if there any visual maps for campaign levels (assuming here you mean a top-down view like we have for some multiplayer maps?). There are some great YouTube guides out there that should help you though.

  • MythicTyrant has some great Legendary Guides, should also be beneficial for lower difficulties. He generally takes it slow, doesn’t rush. - NakedEli is a speedrunner, so his videos are a little faster paced and show you some really useful level skips. Great if you’d like to try your hand at speedrunning or if you want to bypass a particularly difficult spotThere are a few more people you could search out - Makka, Ready Up Live. Hopefully that helps you out a bit

Hi stckrboy, thanks - I wil check those out. I am playing Easy to begin with so it’s not too bad. However, I just got all the way to fighting the Heretics (has taken me since 9am) and it said disk error and now I am back to the intial drop off at the start where I was lost LOL. -Yoink!- - so annoyed! Won’t let me connect to Live either :frowning: I think I picked up a dud copy crying right now. Still lovig the game though… I really like the old-school dynamics. Even the Warthog drives better!
