Hello all,
As the title suggests, I’m new to Halo 5, not to the Halo Universe since I’ve played from Combat Evolved to Halo 4. I fell away from Halo for a time but I’ve decided to start getting back into Halo!
With that being said, I wanted to ask you guys if there is any Twitch streamers or YouTube videos I should watch to get a grasp on the maps and game modes? I’m learning the basics in the campaign, but I’d like at least a preview of the multiplayer before I jump into it.
Thanks for your help! I’ll enjoy seeing you out there!
There are a wide variety of Youtubers to choose from when it comes to Halo tips and tricks. You can probably search for “Halo 5 tips” and find a plethora of them!
So here’s a question, what is Warzone Firefight? Is it almost like the original? And what to all of the req backs I opened do? Do I use them in Warzone?

It’s nothing like the original. You use REQs in both normal Warzone and Firefight. Firefight has 8 players making it through 5 different timed waves. With the last wave having a major boss to kill. You have to use your REQs to win the game however seeing as how the enemy get really ridiculous at times. It’s a PVE bases mode which gives you time to get used to the feel of the game.

Just skip the campaign, enjoy yourself in multiplayer. I’d try watching Proximity, he’s one of the best Halo Youtubers in my opinion when it comes to teaching people how to play, and he seems like a cool dude. Good luck!
-Campaign isnt very good story wise but environments are cool.
-Cant really recommend any youtubers or twitch streamers. I have watched Campy on twitch for some FFA stuff. HCS is good to watch as well
the req packs are for warzone. No warzone firefight isn’t like the original really. Not near as customisable or anything. It’s basically 8 player and you get to call in reqs as you fill your req meter. Heroic is fun because you can really kick yoink. I would recommend it most for now for you so you can build req points fast and open packs and start unlocking stuff and building a req inventory.
-Req packs are how you essentially unlock everything from cosmetics, weapons and vehicles. The name of the game is just go for unlocking everything. Don’t concentrate on particular reqs because sadly the req system is totally random. Do the bronze to silver to gold method. Basically get some bronze packs and unlock lower lever stuff when unlocks become scarce go to silver’s, when silver’s refund two 1500 req point cards instead of unlocks go to gold and when golds give back two 3000 point you are done with the pack grind… Now you are new and there has been a TON of stuff added so the pack grind will be very very long. Unless you want to buy packs with real money.
-Reqs are only used in warzone but sadly pretty much all cosmetics are in the req system also. So if you are worried about cosmetics the pack grind is something you will have to do.
arena, well all of H5 really, plays very competitive. Especially now since the game is older and it’s mostly us hardcore fans / players around.
