New to Forge Scripting

I’m thinking of trying to make a survival-horror map with the breakout game type, but have no clue how scripting works beyond making objects spawn or despawn. The former is still a bit sketch, at best, though. If anyone is willing to help a dabbling scripter, I would greatly appreciate it.

Followed for research purposes. I was able to make some shields around a base spawn after pressing the keypad, and despawn after about a minute (even though the timer option says 30 secs), but I would like to be able to toggle them on or off with the one keypad. Or even have them despawn after a certain amount of damage, which sounds super ambitious at this stage.

If it’s just the energy shields under the gameplay tab, there should be an option in scripting for On Damage/Low Health-> Action. I’ve yet to get it to work properly, but I know it’s there.

Bump. I’ve made the map, but now my issue lies with properly scripting my shield doors to despawn and some traps work in forge, but not custom games. If anyone could help me figure out what might be wrong with my scripting order, I’d greatly appreciate it. Otherwise, my script brains and I are going to have a fight on our hands.
