Watch this video and skip to 1:18. A Promethean Knight is seen dropping what looks’ like a Forerunner Assault Rifle when it dies. It can be seen for a split second between 1:18 and 1:19.
If you look closely it’s not the Light Rifle or Scattershot.
Also, in the IGN multiplayer video, you can see the actual gun being used by a Spartan in MP. He uses that and DMR combo.

I see it and don’t know what it is. Is it a melee weapon. From full screen, it looks like it may be the forerunner melee weapon without the energy coming out.
In the Press Release screenshot’s the first one under Spartan Op’s has a clear picture of a Knight holding it, its definilty a rifle because you can also see his melee weapon. In the picture you should see a Spartan mid-air with a sword assaulting the Knight.
it looks like the storm rifle to me. i know its a covie weapon but that doesnt mean the forerunners cant use it.

Looks like a floating light rifle.

Except for the fact that the forerunner weapons are attached to their arms. Unless they can hold the gun with their extra tiny hands then idk.

Cant be a Light Rifle, it has no floating scope above it. And the barrel is too short.
I can’t really see anything unless your referring to that energy sword thing they have which i noticed in the campaign footage also

Exactly what I’m thinking, at 1:27-1:30 in the video the Knight on top of the relic is firing a full auto stream of Light at the player’s. Possibly the gun in action.

That better make a return. Whether it’s the covie focus rifle or what you said. And this time around, I want it to be a blue color like some sentinels had.
Maybe it’s the Assault Carbine??? I don’t know if the assault carbine was confirmed to be the Storm Rifle or not so it was just a guess.
