Gaurdians are not powerful compared to forerunner battleships, if a guardian is a police car, than the warship is a fighter jet.

That would just mean that they always had access to them or knew where they were since they buried them on planets. We can only assume what was used to kill Precursors but the Guardians probably wouldn’t have been the most effective tool. Its made for peace-keeping not war like a Composer or or things the Forerunners made. Its like using the police force to fight a war. The military will do it better but the Police are good at peace-keeping.
