The “Signal Detected” trailer gave me a quick question.
At the end, the brute says “We are his Will, We are his Legacy, we are the Banished”. Why are people assuming it is Atriox? Atriox was never stated to be following anyone. Brutes followed him.
The brute in the transmission was using “We” to tell us they are Banished but who is he stating as “His”? If no one in the Banished (Including Atriox) follows no human, Prophet or anything else, but frankly just Atriox… could this mean just part of Atriox forces are on the Ring and giving a a speech war cry?
Or Atriox is dead and they are chanting over his death… which could explain they say in the trailer “We are his Legacy”. As thats a term to bring up someones past accomplishment… hmm…
It could be referring to Decimus, the Brute who co founded the Banished with Atriox. Maybe he is still seen as the great founder by part of the Banished troops.
It could also be a part of the Banished not with Atriox at the Ark. I could imagine them thinking Atriox is dead after not hearing anything from him for months.
I sincerely hope we don’t get a Banished splinter faction but the real deal with Atriox. Otherwise we also won’t get Spirit of Fire and it’s crew. Unless they set up a Halo Wars 3 as well to tie into Infinite.
I doubt 343i will repeat their Didact and Jul mistakes again by killing a (in this case beloved) villain off screen again.
I don’t think we are going to just see a portion of his forces, the voice isn’t some random brute. It’s actually Shipmaster, he was also stuck on the Ark and with the new book coming out before infinite, I think we are gonna learn how they leave the ark

Is that confirmed? The voice sound brutish in origin, but it’s kinda hard to tell with the speaker’s cadence.
My theory is that Banished is under new leadership as they might think Atriox is dead since he’s now stuck on the Ark. I dunno if he can have communication to the rest of his forces, so it might be someone new.
One can have an established legacy while still being alive. Atriox managed to organize a rag-tag group into a fighting force that even the Covenant could fully contain. I’d say that more than gives big boy A a "living legend’ status.
Either way, things are ramping up, so we’ll find out very soon.
Could be reference to Atriox (90% sure it is) but could also be Tartarus?
I suspect the Flood killed someone important in the video, looks like it was recorded using a external camera, if you look at the video you can see movement from small tentacles on the far left at 0:48. The voice actor sounds similar to Atriox but hard to tell if it is, could be just trying to boost moral.

It is not confirmed but the voice is very distinct, like I told my friend earlier I recommended hoping into skirmish with shipmaster, you’ll hear what I’m talking about
I wont to point out this line “it will be under our control.” Has the same emphasis used when shipmaster says “augmented harvester complete.”
Just a thought, and some HW2 spoilers just in case.
Atriox is stuck on the ark with his ship destroyed. The banished back in the milky-way have no reason to think he’s alive. Maybe they think Atriox is dead and are off doing their own thing.

Then who is talking in the comms? Its best to assume its Atriox, but does that mean the comma is juat some brute?
HiddenXperia has a theory about this which he stated on Twitter.
The Banished at Zeta Halo is a splinter group. With the Enduring Conviction destroyed in HW 2 and the fact that Atriox is stuck on the Ark, this splinter group might THINK Atriox is dead. When he isn’t.
I think Atriox is going to appeared in Halo Infinite. After the teaser trailer came out, I think this is going to happened in the new Halo video game. We are going to see an epic showdown between Master Chief and Atriox on the Zeta Halo Ring.

Another Banished leader like some lieutenant or general type of guy.
Definitely not atriox in the teaser. Doesn’t mean he won’t be in the game. In fact I think he probably will, but hopefully well find out for sure in july.
