So I’m really confused about the new Team Slayer playlist. Who’s it for exactly? I play casually and search alone and now feel like this playlist is only for competitive teams playing to get into the top 200.
I don’t really care about ranking but with the new CSR / skill resets I’m being matched against people that are way out of my league every game and playing a gametype I have no desire to play (Legendary BR).
In closing, if you see me on your team in Team Slayer you should probably just quit or get ready to carry me along as 343 thinks it’s fun to match me with uber high ranking teams / players game after game…

A very small portion of the Halo community like Infinity settings. Do remember that over 90% of the Halo community left in the first few months because of stuff like Infinity settings. I myself hate Infinity settings and when I do play TS on the rare occasion I vote Legendary BRs because you can have both a competitive and casual experience in it.
I’m not saying TS is not for you so go play BTB but BTB is as casual as you can get if you are looking for that kind of experience. TS is not a massively competitive playlist. For the most part it is casual. Chances are is that you are ranking up faster (which doesn’t make sense considering a team based csr is slower)or the reset means you are facing people of a much higher skill level. Unfortunately you have to understand the TS change was for the best of Halo 4.
343 made this to try and appease the loud cry for a competitive playlist. For the casual players you should be asking why there is not a list of casual gametypes like they had in halo 3. I myself wish they split up the competitive and non-competitive so everyone could enjoy the game and stop complaining. I truly believe that if you separated the two you could bring back a large part of the community that left halo due to the lack of competition. Then you wouldn’t have to play against people who are better than you and you could relax and play a casual game type, while I could go and play a competitive style. Everyone would win. I haven’t seen anyone from 343 respond to any post in a long time. It would be nice if they could talk to us and let us know what exactly they are doing to make halo a better experience for all of us/

Hey now, don’t go blaming competitive and/or “classic” players for 343i’s follies. 343i screwed things up, not the players. We’ll have to wait for Halo Xbox One to see if things will be better.

Ugh. Wtf happened to Halo players…
Team Throwdown isn’t played much because the gametypes suck and objective games are generally much lower in popularity compared to slayer. This is common knowledge.
Legendary slayer the playlist was closed because it was merged with Infinity Slayer because the two playlists were redundant. If you like Infinity, go play CoD because that’s what it is. Legendary slayer is how Halo is supposed to be played. No garbage AAs, no ordnance drops, weapons spawn on maps at regular times without giant indicators so you actually have to time them and control the map to get them.
I’m so glad we can back out of lobbies before the games start. Out of the whopping 10% of the time Infinity gets voted I just back out and restart search for a group with some common sense.
