So I got the email today, activated it through the email where a link was provided. It brought me to the redeem code xbox.com page. I clicked ‘redeem code’ and it said everything was good to go but when I play the game the new specializations do not show up anywhere and I’m stuck at SR70.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a step I’m missing?
Go to your download history on your xbox and redownload it, that should fix the problem.
Quick question. Yes the answer matters.
Is the Email that received the code different then the Email that created the Xbox account?
If yes, then you might have my problem. The Code will redeem to the email that received it and NOT to the email your account it made from (And that you’d sign in with).
This problem actually literally led to the code I redeemed on my gamertag being redeemed to an Xbox account that wasn’t signed in at the time. Crazy stuff.

This happened to me and I tried doing the redownload and they still don’t come up
If your turning your xbox on and have the settings to go straight to the game then like me mine was gone, change settings so you go to xbox home first then select Halo 4 and hey presto they were back! Tried several times and it works every time!
I did this and it did not work… I’m rather annoyed because I’m at level 80 and stuck there

A temporary fix is to disconnect the 360 completely from the internet before boot up, forcing the game to load locally. All specs should show then, pick new spec (If you were maxed). Afterwards, reboot console, or reconnect with LIVE.
I have same problem with you, I’ve bought the LE and use the code inside to unlock specialization before. but after this new code shows up, My specializations are gone, even when I key in the new code that they give to me, Those things are still in nowhere.
Feel so dissapoint to 343 now…
Chiming in here to say that I’ve lose my specializations also. I hit 80 tonight and could only pick from wetworks or operator.
Reset cache, redownloaded the title update and the dlc contect etc… nothing has worked yet.
Its BS I’ve tried everything… but nada
Someone help please. I got the Specialization code. I typed it in it didn’t work. I redownloaded it it didn’t work. What can I do now
I have a similar issue.
I had typed in the redeem code and gotten my specializations.
Then, after the update a few days ago, my specs are all gone (except the default 2). It’s been like this for the past 5 or so days with no fix in sight. I hope 343i release an update to fix what their last update broke. It’s a shame to not be able to level past 70…makes it not worth playing this game, let alone spending more money on it.
Same problem here. I got the code and I was able to complete wetwork and rogue but after the update i had no choice but to enlist in Operator. I REALLY wanted to do Tracker, but I’ve lost my specialisation access.
