So I was just thinking about the armor for Halo 5 and I had a pretty good idea in mind. If 343 would give us some extra Campaign armors for Multiplayer that would be sick.
So how do you get the armor?
Well, first of all I hope they add more boss fights in Halo 5 Campaign and this is important for the armor. Why? Well if you defeat one of the bosses on Legendary you will get a special armor in Multiplayer.

Also if 343 would give us some challenges in multiplayer that will give us armor would be cool too.
That’s one idea, but they really should maintain the Halo 3 armor unlock approach for any armor that is even slightly awesome. All basic or “meh”-level armors should be unlocked by progressing through ranks. Cooler armors should be unlocked by normal achievements and/or commendations.
But I feel that the really great armors, not just a single one, should require some task to unlock. Halo has tried boss fights before, and while they sometimes work, they don’t always scale well with difficulty. The only trouble I had in defeating the 2 Scarabs on The Covenant on Legendary was this one -blam!-ing Banshee that kept pestering me. It would be better to make the requirements like it was for EOD in Halo 3. Complete 3/12 Legendary missions you unlock shoulders, complete 6/12 you get torso, etc.
Other ideas than Legendary walk-through to get awesome armors would be: Complete any mission on Mythic, Complete Campaign on Mythic, destroy all enemy vehicles on a mission, find a certain Easter egg or secret room, and of course a series of obligatory Vidmasters that are designed to crush your soul and leave you crying.
What I would like to have is different unlocks for campaign completion alone.
So:
Easy - unlock knife on armour perhaps?
Normal - Blade?
Heroic - …?
Legendary - Katana?
Now there is no default armour for this slot, nor any armour you can unlock for this slot through multiplayer/spops/… just campaign.
It doesn’t have to be knives/blades, it could be hoods/capes like Jun’s or the MC Halo XB1 trailer cape.
