Just announced at the Spike VGA’s, Spartan Ops Season 1.5 beginning January 2013 will feature NEW LOCATIONS!
Hopefully 343o will post more info within the hour, and I’ll post the trailer here soon!
I have high hopes for spartan ops. I love it as it is, but it looks like it’s going to get even more intense from the footage that was shown.
I’m excited for it also. Everyones saying that big thing was a Scarab.
New locations is a good thing, while going back to these new places over and over will be a bad thing. I hope they involve water, I’ve been itching for a good bout of clearing the oil rig missions.

Yes because of -Yoink!- “gaming’s” promotion they are putting spartan ops on hold.

Well, there’s that - but considering that the existing SpOps mission locations are simply based on the Campaign and the odd multiplayer map (IIRC, just Ragnarok at this point), it wouldn’t take too much work to use the other existing Multiplayer maps and areas of the Campaign in the same way, as WELL as the new Crimson maps. That’d go a very long way in terms of spicing up the missions, IMO.
(Straight off the top of my head - Longbow and Exile would make great Spartan Ops mission locations, due to being big, atmospheric, and not looking too much like a symmetrical ‘gaming arena’, as opposed to the likes of Haven or Adrift)

Sounds good. Copying in pasting parts of the campaign almost felt lazy to me, but I assume it was just due to deadlines. Using War Games maps was creative enough, so I let that slide 
But regardless, Spops in getting good. Can’t wait.

My. Thoughts. Exactly. Maybe we’ll be fighting the flood in the following Spartan Ops? It’s pretty doubtful, but could happen.
