i wanted to put this out there as a long time halo fan.
I’ve always thought about how cool it would be to be able to play in 100% customized armor specific to your spartan. I’m talking every detail. not just color specs and miscellaneous armor combo’s. but 100% contrived from you. So i wanted to give it some thought and decided to try my hand at some 3d design after i discovered Zbrush about 3 weeks ago. This is what i came up with. Imagine how cool it would be to be able to play as this beast! I’m not trying to sell an idea or anything. I’m not actually a designer or even in the arts. I’m a studying sports scientist but i think it would be amazing if the guys at 343 made this happen and want to know what other halo fans think! This is meant to be the base model ( no pauldrons or chest armor) of what i like to call the “panther” armor set. If you guys want to see more ( like the full armor set) then lemme know if you think this is halo worthy or not. Imagine the possibilities. ( p.s. a few of his fingers got cut off accidentally )

I’ll try work on a full color render when i get a chance to try and help distinguish things but i’m still new to the program so there’s a bit of a learning curve but i’ll give it a go. My current thought is to provide an edit tool for each armor piece that players can manipulate to a certain degree ( x amount of polygons) using pieces like standard bolts/joins/cool looking hard surface gear and the ability to manipulate shape. I guess it’s up to what 343 and the game engine can handle but i sort of got the idea from how army of two 4oth day used to let you customize helmets on there website and upload them into the game. The only other thing which i can think of which would be cool is if we as the players all put a part ( say a set of pauldrons or helmet) to a poll each week and voted to decide whether we want it. ( it’s a little less custom, but probably more friendly to the game engine.
Anyway let me know what you guys think. i think it would be amazing to have that degree of customization

I doubt it’ll ever happen because 3d modeling is complicated, Zbrush is mainly used for adding detail while software like 3ds Max or Maya is designed for the foundation for a 3d model then there’s the general texturing. (I’m in the business when it comes to games design, etc…) Plus there’s the licensing issue which isn’t cheap.
Then there’s proportions, rigging issues then the animation, etc…
Thanks for the info Ronnie. you have no idea just how knowing little things like what programs to use makes a difference to a beginner. i appreciate it. I wasn’t really trying to suggest they necessarily use my exact OBJ. I’m by no means a designer or in the industry so i’d hope the pro’s at 343 would take it into there loving hands and make it some badass armor for us to test drive. I’d just love to see full customization and for me this is exactly how I’d like my spartan to look ( well once he has all his armor on of course). I also just wanted to see if the idea caught wind and people like it what 343 will do. i’m just Daydreaming what it would be like designing spartan’s all day
So here’s a bit of a more updated-half colored version. I’m still not quite done with the armor yet and I’m learning on the coloring part but after seeing the guardians title release i had to throw up something. thoughts now that you can see a little better?

I went to that site and i coukd do anything i thought i could cumtimze my spartan as if i had 100% of the armor but there was nothing to do with spartan armor at all i might of gone on the wrong site so either fix your website so we know how to do it or leave links to the correct website thanks and as always lol
