I’m pretty sure somebody already posted a thread about skulls, but I’m curious to see what new skulls people would enjoy having? I think an acrophobia skull added to every halo game would be fun. Maybe making a skull that changes gravity would be cool too.

I would love to get the Bandanna Skull added to the other games in the collection (Reach, ODST, H3, H4, Spartan Ops). I’m really glad 343 added it to Halo Infinite, it’s been great so far.
Has been said for quite a while. A skull in Halo CE, H2, H3 and H4 that changes Chief to your multiplayer Spartan. For Halo 2 and 3, players playing as Arbiter or the co-op elites in H3 will change to your multiplayer elite.

I’ve posted this idea in my own “Skull” Thread before, but I’ll post it again because I want the idea to get around.
If I was to create my own skull, It would be one that buffs the friendly Marines in some way. The friendly AI is one of my favorite things about the Halo Games, but I don’t think they do it enough justice. While the AI is smart on the harder difficulties, they usually get wrecked in a matter of secconds. Turning the difficulty down keeps them alive longer, but also makes them combat-ineffective.
At bare minimum, the simpilist thing to help would to just make the friendly AI invincible (like Johnson in H2). However, I think a more interesting solution would be to make friendly AI always use their Legendary difficulty AI, regardless of the difficulty the player chooses (So, Marines will be Legendary even if the player chooses Heroic or Normal).
I know these would make your team a little OP, but then you could just make the Skull a x0.00 (just like Scarab and Bandana). The idea here is to increase the amount of fun the Player can have by letting him/her play however they want. Want to work as a team? Well, now you can.
(As well as making all current Skulls available for all titles.)

Tanked: All UNSC weapon projectiles are Scorpion Tank shells and all Covenant weapon projectiles are Wraith shots.

Slumber: Player Plasma Pistol overcharge puts targets asleep. Other enemies becoming alerted nearby or loud noise wakes them. If an enemy is woken they are enraged and have extra damage and health and speed and jump height.

Remix: Randomizes enemies, allies, weapons, vehicles and gear.

Assassin: An invincible, invisible Elite carrying an Energy Sword and Spartan Laser stalks the player(s) throughout the level. Teleports to you if you get too far.

Ling Ling: Every enemy and ally are Flood.

I think another, very cost efficient idea would be for 343i to just convert all of the old Console Commands to Skulls (isn’t that what Acrophobia is?). Someone already mentioned it in a different forum (so, not my idea), but think Bump Possession, for example, to be enabled for everyone, not just those on PC.
I really like the Remix idea. Well, I like all of them, but Remix really stands out to me. Something like that would allow you to squeeze every drop of replayability out of these games.
My only question is: by “Ramdomize”, do you mean out of every single possibilty? Like, enemy Elites could become Marines, for example. And if that is the case, would those Marines remain on the Covenant’s side? And vice versa with Marines (possibly) becoming Grunts or Jackels. Would they remain on the player’s side?
This sounds amazing. I primarily play the mcc on pc, so this would be a convenient way for me to do some of the pc commands
Yeah it’d be great for replayability and could be a fun novel metagame leaderboard category. I was thinking total randomization of enemies, allies, weapons, vehicles and gear unless there’s something specific in the game that shouldn’t really be changed like a boss fight, in which case I think the boss should remain but the encounter should be altered by the variables such as randomizing the boss’s guards or making the boss invisible.
I’ll give some examples. Picture the beginning of Sierra 117 right after the cutscene ends.
First example, the same number of ally marines as usual except some are ODSTs and all of them are carrying Maulers. At the first encounter the Brute standing on top of the rock is a Jackal Sniper and the Grunts walking in the stream have been replaced by 2 Hunters and an Elite Ultra carrying a Gravity Hammer.
Second example, you have no allies, they’ve been replaced by a squad of enemy Brutes carrying Flamethrowers. At the first encounter the Brute standing on top of the rock is a Flood Carrier and the Grunts walking in the stream are a pack of invisible SpecOps Elites carrying Energy Swords.
Third example, your allies are 2 SpecOps Brutes carrying Flame Bombs and Plasma Pistols and 4 regular Shield Jackals. At the first encounter the Brute standing on top of the rock is an enemy Miranda Keyes who is wearing Sgt Johnson’s cap and puffing his cigar and carries a Spartan Laser. The Grunts walking in the stream are a squad of enemy ODSTs carrying Shotguns and Spike Grenades.
Dunno if anyone has suggested it yet but a DK mode skull is long overdue.
Speed Demon: Player’s speed is increased to 300%.
Red Eye: Moa’s become vicious and can attack both Covenant and the player on sight.
Doomquake: the players speed and traction are drastically increased, and all weapons have bottomless clips with still limited ammo.
Maybe also health instead of shields but that might be a bit much.
I have a few ideas, most prominently being cross-game implementation of all skulls. I would love to see Acrophobia & Bandana implemented into every game, especially since Halo 4 has super shallow pockets in terms of spare ammo storage.
As for new effect skulls:
I want to see an enemy/vehicle replacement skull (similar to the skull that upgrades enemy rank), that would replace all enemies with hunters for example, or all vehicles with wraiths. Just something to make it more ridiculous.
Perhaps a couple more “broken” skulls (ie bandana, acrophobia, etc), like one that would allow the player to do 4x the damage, have some extra overshields, or double player movement speed.
Talking about speed, maybe a skull for faster vehicles could be interesting.
Just a few of my suggestions, simple but fun.

I’ve always loved the fun skulls. As much as I like skulls that make a challenge in the game, adding schools that alter the game in more fun ways is my preference
