Despite seeing another post with the same content, they showed no way of fixing it. The person stated they was confident that they were the person the email was about. I’m certain I don’t live in the US so someone has accessed my Waypoint Account twice and will continue to do so. I have talked to a help agent at Microsoft and there’s no way I can change my password to prevent further harm (There’s no option). If anyone has experience this I’d appreciate sone help
TL;DR: Experiencing unauthorized access to my Waypoint Account. Could use some insight please. thank you in advance
If someone has access to your Microsoft account, there’s nothing we can do to help that here I’m afraid OP. There’s a support topic on the Microsoft Help site that has information on how you can secure your account. I would set up 2 factor authentication as soon as possible, if you haven’t already done so, which will definitely help prevent unauthorised access.

As a general word of advice - never give your password to anyone, even family. Never do console sharing with friends that you don’t 100% trust (and even then I wouldn’t recommend console sharing outside of your own home)
There’s also some good info here on making sure there are no unauthorised devices linked to your account, you can remove any that you don’t recognise:

Thank you, I changed my password just to be sure. I’m not sure if i got the email as a result of the website’s HTTP using a US domain. Not sure how the deeper side of this works. It could have been it, but would prefer to be sure. Thanks for the quick response, take care.
Edit: It’s me, it’s not accurate at locating who accessed your account though; I don’t live in the US
Ya I just got the exactly same email this morning, and then again a few hours after I logged on. The thing is, I’ve only been on this site a handful of times, and haven’t been in months. Seeing that it’s happening to a few of us all at once (probably many more that just haven’t said anything), I assume it’s most likely some bug/issue on Microsofts end.
Both times the email displayed it as a log-in from the usa, and had the same IP address: 191.238.34.67 Does this address happen to be the same for you?
