I think bringing back the halo ce shotgun would be awesome, but that’s not it it would be a lvl 6 req its called sarge’s shotgun. It would grant the user speed boost and damage resistance, and have the same clip size as halo ce obviously, it would come with a additional 2 clips so a lot of ammo. The description would be : you just got sarged

CE’s Shotgun is the best in the series by far IMO and it would be awesome to have it back but sadly it’s not likely because if I remember right there is already a Shotgun with Speed Boost and another one with Extended Mags so it would be a very OP and unbalanced combination of both.

They should make the ce shotgun a req, as well as creating a covenant shotgun, for the banished maybe the mauler will return.

I really don’t like the CE shotgun though. H2 shotgun is prettier imo.

You’re right, there are enough shotgun variants as it is. A Covenant (maybe even Promethean/Forerunner) themed one, however… I would welcome greatly.
I think, if they make any more shotguns, they should somehow go about making one that shoots brenneke slugs.

The CE Shotgun was the definitive Flood slayer. It would be perfect for Infection. Speaking of which, can you imagine how nasty the CE Shotgun would be during Infection?
ADS would only use the iron sights, though, not the fancy Smart-Scope.

I don’t think it’s very likely to be added into Halo 5. There are enough shotguns that already have crazy damage and give a speed boost.
They are adding emile’s shotgun which has the look of halo reach’s shotgun.

Because nowhere has it been stated that 343 is adding the M45 Shotgun.
As someone who would love to see every previous incarnation of a weapon or vehicle in a Halo game make its way into Halo 5’s REQ system, I necessarily endorse the notion of a Halo CE shotgun. I would see its main departure being in its rapid fire and particulars of range and spread. If there were flood enemies, it would also one-shot them. And of course it would have that classic look and sound.
