I want them to make a like promethean weapon that is made for Ricochet and i dont mean the gametype…
Similiar to a sniper with little zoom when u aim like on the wall u see another line where the bullit is going.
good for taking out campers or whatever…
Like some 1 is behind you and you shoot in front of u on the wall and crouch or step aside and that guy behind u gets killed…
Would be awesome to have some kind of weapon like that…
Oh dear god, I hope you never become a game designer

OT: OP, could you go a bit more in depth with what you’re thinking? Right now I’m picturing a mini-sniper, but I can’t see the point of that as it would likely simply be used as a direct fire weapon instead. If it was the same power as a regular sniper, it would also likely be more advantageous to use (from one point of view).
Personally, I’d just like to see the Grenade Launcher return to fill that space, or a promethean version that launches pulse grenades (but is otherwise almost exactly the same in terms of mechanics and blast radius etc.)

A pulse grenade gun would make my day.

Gimmicks like this are what cause games to feel cheap and lazy. You don’t design FPS games, that allow players to see EXACTLY what and where a bullet it going to even if it is a perk.
This is like playing Tiger Woods golf on the Wii with Extreme Easy mode, which shows you exactly where the ball will land, bounce and roll. ← played two rounds like that is the game got boring quickly even to play normally.
FPS are straight and to the point, the more gimmicks a game adds the more it will suppress its fan base. I ran LANs almost every week in my area, when Reach launched they slowed to about once every 2 months, halo 4. LOL, we haven’t had one and have no plan to have any as only 10% of my friends even own it.
I make a call to put together a CE, H2 or H3 LAN I can easily get 8-10 people within a weeks notice. Simplified doesn’t mean easy, it means competitive.
You can say what you want to say, but FPS are about being competitive, the fun comes along with being competitive. The more gimmicks the less competitive plays stands out and overall fun plummets.

Whoa whoa whoa, calm down there. I didn’t say I liked the idea of showing exactly where the shot was going, nor did I even begin to mention competitive attributes of anything.
The concept of the weapon isn’t overly flawed, that specific pointer is. I never said I was supportive of that particular aspect, simply of the overall general design.
Nothing to do with gimmicks or anything of the sort

He’s talking about a weapon where you can see the line of sight. Like when a Binary Rifle is zoomed in. However, when the beam impacts a wall, you will see them beam “bounce” off the wall so you know the trajectory of the bullet or round when it collides with the wall. This means you could effectively do ricochet shots off the walls and kill enemies camping or chasing.

That’s what I thought he was going for, I was just wondering about the type of projectile used, damage output and clip size. Seeing the trajectory is a pretty significant advantage, so there should be some form of countermeasure to make it more difficult to accomplish.

i mean that you can only shoot when zoomed it. but when u zoom in u see like an arrow pointing out where it goes if u aim on wall or something… + it just has a little zoom. and i was thinking about some other function when not zoomed in. like if you dont zoom in it will shoot like a lil emp/gravity burst. making ur shield go all the way down or just a bit and knocking u back a little. + when ur zoomed in the weapon is only a 1shot kill if u wallbang it… if you dont you just need 2 shoot 2times even in the head gives you no shield and not insta kill…
more in depth enough ^^

You explained it pretty good…
like if ur chasing an enemy he goes around the corner u zoom (Little zoom like a pistol mayb) and you shoot the wall bouncing it of the wall in the direction the player is going.

good post… ill try add it there
Maybe they’ll add this in the next game, but I don’t see it happening, IMO.
