New recon waves during the free Halo 3 release?
I’m a Halo player since 09 but I still don’t have it.
And then I see some n00bs with 3 games played with recon unlocked…wtf!

If you’ve been a Halo player since 09 and haven’t gotten Recon then it’s probably because you made a new account. In which case I doubt you’ll ever get it.
It’s not that great anyway.
Why can you not get it, its not that hard to get.

Because even if he gets the Vidmaster achievements you need to activate a button on Bungie.net that hasn’t been available for years. 343 gave Recon to everyone during the switchover meaning that if you don’t have it now then it’s because you have a new account.
In other words, you can’t get it again. Ever.

I have two more accounts on my console with both recon (I have a shared xbox). Then it’s not about accounts.
I stopped caring when I seen the ODST Recon. That looks cooler than the Spartan’s version IMO.
We really need a big logo on the front page that reads “RECON IS DEAD”. Because we’ve had about 100 of these threads in the past year with the same results.
I had halo 3 on release and traded it in when halo reach came out and thanks to free games with gold I can play this great game again but I’m wondering will I be able to get recon from when 343 gave it out or no? Since I was in active when they gave it out but I was a regular halo 3 player from release to halo reach’s release.

i put down 3 for reach as well and i got the recon despite like a 2 - 3 year absence so i think you should have it.

As nice as it is, I don’t need recon.
If you see a white scout on the battlefield, you will know who it is.
well this sucks every family member on the my xbox has recon except my profile and they have played as long as me.

Then you’re far too late. BS Angel has confirmed via Twitter that Recon will NOT be given out anymore.
