I was on a hike when I though of this idea, a new rarity above mythic called PRECURSOR. Items under the PRECURSOR rarity are extremely rare and are the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. These items are special since the only way to obtain these items are gold packs (Or maybe some special req pack) and have no certifications for these so it would EXTREMELY rare to get these. They would also be a high req energy lvl and are REALLY powerful.
The close range weapon for the Precursor rarity would be a flood sword/claw. This item would grant the wearer an overshield which can regenerate. It has the lunge of the prophets bane and can kill 20 people before it wears down. To nerf this weapon it would be a lvl 8 or 9 req and the overshield takes 2-3 times the length of the normal shield regeneration time and the overshield has to regen if swapped from another weapon.
The long range weapon for the Precursor rarity would be a sniper with extraordinary capabilities with software based of mendicant bias. Its bullets are one hit kills and can go through up to 3 enemies at once. It has small homing capability and has 3 bullets in its magazine. It is a lvl 8 or 9 req. But it has a bright red flash similar when scoped down.
There will be a shotgun type weapon which would be a semi automatic Precursor shotgun with a small homing capability and richochet of items and bullets that can heal the user. This weapon has a twist and if shot into a wall really close to the user, the bullets would home into you and will heal you a tiny bit of regen your shields a bit. It gives a permanent speed boost and costs lvl 7 or 8 reqs…

Yeah but these weapons are lvl 7-9 so they are mostly at the end of games and they are extremely rare as a person who just got the game and the person who has everything has the same low chance of getting them as they have no certifications for… The homing and healing is extremely low so it wont be like needler homing. Also some weapons like tarturus’ gavel is pretty op lol
Or we could just stick with mythics… There are already too many different weapons, I understand where you’re coming from OP but just like a lot of people that have mythic reqs but no certs for them they just sit around never to be used, cuz there’s rarely ever a good enough reason to use nornfang when you’ve only got 2 of them and no cert for it.

7-9 reqs is not end game. 7-9 is 6 minutes into the game. anyways, like you said tartarus gavel is already “op”… what is the point of adding in more OP items? we don’t need reqs better than the already so called “op” reqs. Sorry, but this just couldn’t fly

Its actually quite easy to get to req 7-9 mid game
