Can someone explain how I can rank up from Onyx to Champion?

It took me awhile to finally realize H3âs ranking system is based on how many wins you get per game ( exp=wins) XD Iâll never be able to earn a skill of 30, I can try hard and get a 20, but 30 is not me

I assume they mean the arena one, which i would enjoy I like that a lot it was the playlist I played the most just to see if I was improving week to week. and month to month

I would assume it would be by getting more wins. streaking them together without losing
I overserved something similar⌠The ranks seem to be calculated from the result of the match itself and not on your personal skill.
I finish a game 23:7 and get ranked DOWN because my team still lost.
I finish a game horribly bad with 5:12 and get ranked UP because my team has won despite my awful performance.
What the hell? 343i apparently didnât think this through at all. I wonder what they do all day.

I belive you need a Onyx rating of 2000-2500 or something to reach Champion rank. It also depends on what rating the Champions have.

The current system structure is fine, having the different classes to determine a players skill is a good idea. The ranks are really a more refined version of what Halo 3 had. And the fact that you can only attain the highest rank (champion) by being among the top 200 players in the onyx bracket is pretty impressive, it means that top players will have to watch their backs and keep an eye on up and coming players that are rising in rank. However how we rank up is certainly flawed. Our csr should take performance into account over wins/losses. It is unfair that a player can carry his or her team on their back only to have their rank suffer due to their teams sub par performance.

Yes, I think I have 16xx in SWAT. Iâll definitely try to get a Champion. Is it possible to rank down from Champion back to Onyx again?
I agree the ranking system needs tweaking, but itâs far better than the previous few games, it actually has resulted in better matchmaking. With that said, itâs rather confusing. I played team arena and after my first ten matches I lost only two, and got ranked in diamond. My friend, however, despite losing one game, got gold, and our other friend got diamond as well despite having lost four matches and having a lower KDA, not even 1 in fact. Now that doesnât seem fair.

Yes, you can rank down from Champion to Onyx, and then from Onyx to Diamond, but after that the lowest rank you will get that season is Diamond 1.
We must be patient, eventually everyones rank will settle, The release was a tidal wave of madness, let the waves settle before people freak out about rank.
they should either allow ranking downâŚor have every1 start at bronze and take out the placement matches. simple solutions are simple. I would actually prefer every1 starting at bronze actuallyâŚi love the mix between grinding and skill like the old halo 2 and halo 3 days.
I donât mind the ranking system. Out of all the halos I liked halo 3 the best. Just made it more rewarding when you got to the top.
