> I have had so many games where I go 20 and 10, or something along those lines and still lose skill! This is due to all of my other team members going horribly negative. They need to revamp the system fast because so many players are in the wrong tier. If somone goes 2 and 17 they are not Diamond, and I shouldn’t suffer for their poor play!
GT ii Am Evasive, add me I feel the same. looking for 12 skilled players who are on daily for arena and warzone play. tired of having cruddy teams.

> Agreed. If we lose because another player drops out why do I get penalized too??? Of course we lost! It’s impossible to win CTF or strongholds with only two or three players!
They should have one rank for all game types and it should be based off of more than just wins. I find myself having a dreadful time playing, just because of losses. It makes the losing experience all the more terrible. This needs to be resolved. Sometimes I play with friends who are awful… I do well, but my team consistently loses. I don’t want to feel like I’d rather play with strangers than my own friends merely to win!
Thank you! I can’t tell you how many times I tweeted @halo to fix this. Almost every match I play in breakout , 2 people quit and the guy I am stuck with goes 1-7. It should not be based on your win loss ratio because that is so far out of your control. Your rank should be performances based. I can’t believe they launched Halo 5 with the ranking system this bad. Did they not think of how people would get screwed over?

It is out of your control because you choose not to take control. You can decide who you play with, you can practice with them and you can tip the favours of winning to your team.
Want to pad stats and have players betray you for your power weapons? Or do you want to play as a team and go for the win?
If we’re going for personal performance:
Skip victory conditions, use a 10 minute timer for matches instead. No team wins, players are ranked according to their relative personal perfomance in the match and thus rank up or down.
People are missing how these systems work: Yes its about killing if you are playing Slayer but what about Objective games? I have games (and my KD has been falling from a 1.8 to what I normalize to in Halo to a 1.5-1.6kd) where I may have 8 kills and 5 deaths and my team wins. Other factors are mixed in as you can see they give you the numbers now in terms of damage done (team shooting is key in Halo) and the fact that I have low death counts means I am not running and making my team lose. Sure someone can argue “You needed to get more kills” ok…why when I am #1-#3 in terms of damage done.
All in all the rank system works for promoting players to play together. This is why you guys are on the forums right? To gather people to play with or is it to complain lol. They added Spartan Companies for the same reason of allowing people to create groups and link up and build your friends list with Halo players. Obviously if you have 3 friends to pick from you run the risk of not all being on at the same time so obviously get as many players you can play and win with to be your teammates.
I notice that everyone keeps talking about Kill performances as if that matters (this coming from a guy who was carrying his team from the start until I got to Onyx rank in which some games I am getting hammered not adjusting like I should). Go to the CTF/Stronghold post and no one is complaining because you have some people who are excellent at flag running effectively while others are good at applying pressure via kills. End of the day just watch some of the Streams of the pro players and notice how they never go in without a squad. You can learn a lot from their mentality to approaching the game and realize why they are champion rank playing with a squad.
Long story short…BUILD YOUR FRIENDS LIST lol (if you really want to play and learn communication and dont mind early struggles of melding together, my Spartan Company is looking for active members but in a small number as quantity < quality)

And it takes a lot of things into account; KD ratio, W/L ratio, betrayals, quits, etc. And it was awesome. It was never visible in game and you had to find it here on Halo Waypoint. Seriously people? Go to Service Record - Halo: Reach, then click on “More Stats” or something like that to view it. I loved Reach’s system. I ranked up with time/experience (with what I thought was cool military ranks) - showing how much I put into the game, but then my BPR went up or down based on my actual performance in Matchmaking. The way it should be.

> But you see you nailed it right on the head, it works perfectly “if it had been implemented” right away with clean stats, yes? I’d have to say most people probably didn’t know about it because it wasn’t really advertised in game, I stumbled onto it by accident way back when. But when it first came out, I had a BPR of about 56, and that fueled me to play better and get it up, it’s currently 81 I believe. So I know personally that it works and it works well. Just get a good KD, assist, win, don’t betray, don’t quit, and you’re ranking system goes up for good QUALITY play, and it goes down if you play poorly, the way a rating system should be, right?
I didn’t say “it works perfectly”; I said “it might have been useful”.
Not terribly worthwhile in having a discussion with someone who can’t tell the difference…

I never thought of that one… I don’t really remember it…
I mean 4 was also good… it was solely bast off of you kills n stuff. I think that was also good.
But anything I feel at this point is a bit better then what 5 has to offer. It is good but in away. But like most others are feeling that when you are just starting and not even at a gold rank and your teamed up with golds or even silvers. And you loose and there ranks go down. Sorry that I don’t find right or just kinda unfare

Thank you for having a brain. Get a team together, like the old days, and play to win.
