yep what 343i is trying to do with Halo 5 is that they are trying to make it a get with your friends and play as a team game imo

So, basically I’m killing my rank by playing with friends who are lesser skilled. They really need an unranked playlist that simply uses a hidden mmr system to match similarly skilled players who just want to play and have a good time against equally skilled opponents.

This is actually a pretty good idea
it is set up so better players will only be in teams for the most part above diamond. I play solo a lot and would hate to be ranked above platinum for now. The system is not perfect and I am sure some people got ranked to high. They do not really have a way to lose rank except for going to level 1. So not sure how that will be handled.
Now the losing rank when your team quits is just dumb. Having to play a match 4v2 and still drop back is frustrating. I assume some winning teams in this case would get an easy win also and move up.

I don’t think so, because even in Slayer you shouldn’t be playing lone wolf.
Especially when map and power weapon control is so huge in H5.

> Did you stop to think that maybe that person was unranked and was still in his first 10 games of that playlist. That happens to me all the time.
I dont understand why it will put people that are unranked into the same games as people in Gold or Platinum tier

Yes. If your friends are not having positive K/D’s, just sucking overall, then they are bringing you down wth them.
I’m happy with the H5 ranking.
I play to WIN. Not just for a + K/D ratio.
Adapt and work as a team.
There is one thing that would stop this being such a problem for those that say it is a problem ! …
START USING YOUR MIC’S !.. talk to people, the majority of the players here that say how well they are doing in a game only to loose because of their random team mates, how many of these guys have actually tired to talk to their random team mates.
It’s not just Halo, but how many other multiplayer games on the market now or have already come and gone, would reward the players if they worked together as a team and if you are to work in a team and expect to see positive result your going to have to start talking to each other.
343 cant patch that for you, only the people who participate in the matches can make that work.
Back in the day, when Xbox was new, people would actually chat to each other, be more friendly and socialize, for those of you that had the xbox 1st Gen console and went online, if your still playing Xbox now i bet you got a good few friends from back then because you actually talked to each other. Players dont do that anymore, no were near as much as it use to happen.
And the KD thing, some want a good KD, what ever a Good/decent KD is meant to be?, others want to win their games (i’d prefer players that aren’t obsessing over their KD), I know i’d much prefer to win a match, know that i played for the team, did my best and won, even if i came out with negative kd, it was a team effort and with out the contribution the team may not have won.
Besides even in a team that is communicating your not always going to come out positive, sometimes matches are hard and someone takes a beating personally for the team on the odd occasion, but in another matches more often than not, you’ll smash the other teams and you’ll get some ridiculous positive KD which makes up for it.
But first, players need to talk to each other in game or come here and look for ppl before going in, you’ll be able to get much better players on your team more quickly or keep them before match making gives your other randoms , if you don’t talk, don’t be surprised if you loose

I had a 3.5 KD in my first ten games on team arena, and before people jump on that Team band wagon… we also went 9-1 W/L as a team of 4. Two of us got platinum, 2 got diamond. Work that one out.
