So I heard when they release the new ranking system that your rank will only be visible through HALO WAYPOINT and not in game?
Anyone know if this is true?.. if so source?

As of now it’s only set to be visible in Waypoint, however, I wouldn’t say it will never be visible in the game, there are always TU’s and if the community wants it bad enough, it may be visible in-game.
I am neither for or against it being visible, but at the same time I see no harm in it being visible. People are always going to boost and cheat, so you might as well make it visible for the one’s who care about getting a legit rank. Those of us who don’t care about 1-50 that much can just disregard your number next to your name and see if you’re truly as good as your number says you are 
I think they will keep it invisible at first, maybe try visible out to see if MP population increases, if so, keep it visible, if not, go back to invisible.
I just don’t understand why they would make it invisible…
For people who don’t care it wouldn’t effect them at all, that’s why there’s RANKED and SOCIAL It’ll make the competitive community so much more happier.
Halo 3- when i sold my account i had 6667 exp(10,000+ games played). Ranking system is what attached me to Halo. (Played till H4 launch)
Halo Reach- the furthest i got was Colonel Grade 2 before i quit due to boreness.(Played couple of motnhs)
Halo 4- Most likely going to quit due to boreness. Only thing that was keeping me playing was the hope of a VISIBLE 1-50 system.
I guess Microsoft likes it that way
