I realize there have been former posts in the vein of this precise topic above, but I cannot continue to neglect my agreement with these sentiments of other people.
This ranking system is generally speaking, garbage. I have seen and played AGAINST people whom I absolutely DESTROY in a match (1v1, team vs team, altogether destroy) and they’re consistently placed higher than my rank in Slayer. I’ve seen high diamonds and low onyx who consistently go 2 & 15 in a match, with absolutely terrible average accuracy and zero teamwork, and somehow these people placed higher than myself this season. In my placement matches of Slayer I consistently faced regularly previously ranked Champion and High Onyx players, and on the matches in which I played against them, my stats were similar if not equal to their own, whether or not I won that particular match (some of them I won), but I was carrying braindead random Diamond 4s and Diamond 5s throughout the placement matches who ---- again — consistently went 2 kills and 15 deaths in a match.
I am a former SLAYER CHAMPION (was rank #127 for much of the season last season) and have been a high Onyx in Slayer for the last year or so. This new ranking placement system, is completely disrespectful and totally non-transparent and really undermines the previous hard work and skill that people like myself have put it while working hard at this game for a long time. I read Bizarrest and Damian Serralta’s posts above as well: they COMPLETELY agree with the sentiments I’m proposing here. I’ve seen (WITNESSED IN MATCH) absolute scrub noob players go CONSISTENTLY very negative with very poor skill as a whole and again, some of these players placed onyx and even CHAMPION. I have incredible amounts of anger with the intrinsic aspect of you at 343 placing people like this. EVERYONE I’ve spoken to so far, many former Champs and Onyx, all disagree and resent your current ranking system. No one likes it. Why don’t you guys actually LISTEN to your fanbase for a change? Furthermore, I can’t understand why ZaedynFel (Joshua Menke) was ranked as CHAMPION-1 in SWAT, when his account matched on my team when I Solo-Qd SWAT a couple of nights ago. He did nothing entire match and even managed to commit SUICIDE once on Plaza SWAT (how is that even POSSIBLE???). This is a ludicrous and a very poorly designed placement system. I had a 2v4 match on one of my Slayer matches where I had bad KDA once, but I didn’t want to quit out of the match due to it being a PLACEMENT match (I was afraid this would’ve really adversely affected my overall placement). I still can’t understand your ranking system, and YES I’ve read the news feed and the various forum posts made by 343 Employees on how True-Skill 2 is apparently factoring in individual performance over wins and losses instead. Regardless, it’s STILL a nonsense system because I consistently BEAT CHAMPS, ONYX, and HIGH DIAMOND throughout my placement matches in Slayer and I still get ranked DIAMOND-2??? What kind of TRASH is this? You guys really need to reverse this garbage ASAP, a lot of people are raging right now about this including myself.
See game link for details. UNBELIEVABLY unacceptable. This guy should’ve been automatically deranked to PLATINUM TIER from this match alone IMO. What a joke, matching up with this account on my team. Quitters, and dead weight. And by the way, I have the SCREENSHOT saved on my xbox so you can’t ever delete that. It said “Joshua Menke” as that Champion-1 player who got 7th place and went -1 and 17. Just total garbage. Is that some sort of disrespectful joke? That account “playing” on my team really messed up my CSR on that match and DID cause me to drop rank there. I can’t accept that:
