“But it is when they combine forces, and how they combine, that will offer biggest surprises.”

what? i didnt even think that would be something we woul dbe dealing with in Halo 4…i expected more an orignal halo thought process where we fought flood, and covie and they fought each other…this is intresting and frankly exciting!

That pretty much goes in hand with what will be brought up in The Thursday War. I don’t know how i feel about it because i still see no reason why Humans are the target when there isn’t anything remotely implying animosity towards us.

I hope we get a better look (visually) at the Prometheans. So far they just aren’t doing a whole lot for me.

OT:I do like how they will be seemingly fluid in combat. It reminds me a bit of the Lambent in Gears 3 and how they could change the flow of battle with their transformations.

You took the words from my brain. “Promethean Knights serve the Forerunner empire.” Why are they attacking Reclaimers then? Why the Cortana attacking the Didact? I don’t understand.

These things will be lethal…

The part about combining forces…
I’m not too into that. I hope it would be more of the Covies hacking into the Prometheans, and not the Prometheans/Didact willingly joining.

That would kind of throw the Precursor theories out the window… but corruption can always be clouding his judgement.

I’m interested to see about this combination.

And remember, there are still the Blue Knights. That description didn’t talk about them.

i think their might be friendly Promethean’s look at this picture the motion sensor is yellow meaning friendly and not red for enemy. also look at the links discription http://www.halodestiny.net/images/news/halo_4_didacte.JPG

It says the Prometheans have been revived by an known mechanism or something like that to defend requiem.

I’ve got one answer: composer.
So it appears the Promethean knights are dead forerunners that are composed.

We brought this up months ago.

But this is the “confirmation”.

Sounds to me like slain covenant may be composed as well, and made into robo-whatevers.

Certainly interesting. I wonder if the flood virus has a part to play in all this. It does remind me of a robotic version of the flood…resurrecting slain creatures.

So the “Great Journey” is being composed and turned into a Knight? I can see the Elites buying into that.

What if these guys are the Commanders?

man those guys are BIG!

I can see Storm buying into this as well…the Didact convincing them their great journey completes once they are composed.

In response to your second point, I believe that is an early concept of the Didact himself. Look at the backround - all of the structures are circular and seem to be expanding or in an open/unlocked state. Circular…sphere…Cryptum. Possibly the opening of the Didact’s Cryptum?

No, I’ve seen the GameInformer article myself, and they do not look like those. Unfortunately, that image is just concept art.

That cannot be true. Does the GI article explicitly say that image is concept art? It looks like a much older build of the game. The HUD/UI is very different. Certainly does not appear to be concept art, just an early concept within an early build.

He’s right it’s not a Commander since these are the Promethean Knights.

Promethean Knights

Crawlers + Watcher

Forerunner Weapons

This also means the (http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/ChargerSRT8/Halo/Blu_Promethean.jpg) Knight is a Battlewagon, but the Battlewagon above is still orange.

That is not what I was questioning. I am questioning his claim that this image is concept art. I think it is an early concept within an early build of the game. Not just a picture.

That image of the giant enemies was revealed at PAX and it is an old, in game concept of the Prometheans.

That is an earlier concept of the knight. They showed it at pax quite specifically for that purpose.

I think I like it better, tbh. Looks less cartoony, more ancient and scary.

I hope there are more enemy types. I have a feeling they’ve saved a LOT to be revealed in the actual game.
