This is a red version of the “Powerdrain”. If you enter area you will not lose shield nor die, but get your controller settings changed. Your look Inversion if “inverted” will be changed to “not inverted” and vice versa. Your look sensitivity will also be set up with 2 or 3 notches.
The effect only lasts only until the powerdrain disappears as it does after only a few seconds.

So like playing REALLY REALLY DRUNK.

Not very practical and a bit ridiculous for Halo 4. Couldn’t it be disorientates the players screen like a concussion grenade or perhaps attacks health not shields

If players are familiar enough with the controller there should be no problem for them to switch over from one sensetivity to another and your look inversion for a few seconds.
Of course, you will not be able to aim as well as you usually do but if you know what the power drain does most people will immediately start to think reverse.
I will just stand still …

The old “Powerdrain” attacked the shields, not mine. It only makes the players disorientated for a few seconds, and no more. It gives the player who threw the powerdrain an upper hand over those who are hit by it by letting them have to do something they are not used to.

So you are just going to give up? It is not much more or less efficient than the other equipment. I guess you gave up every time you were hit by other equipment as well then.
NO MORE POWER DRAIN!
The best thing I’ve seen to replace it is EMP grenades. Small AoE and actually takes skill to use.

It only looks like a red “Powerdrain”.

I get it. It looks like a red power drain and it has a disorientation effect. I just think that if a complete n00b got his hands on this he could take out someone who is actually decent. I am saying if there is anything OP like this that it should take skill to use, or at the bare minimum only appear once or twice a game.
I can switch on will - though I usually play inverted. This would just be annoying, rather than useful.

(On that note, what if they only play on one controler scyeme? just because they are “familiar with the cotroller” won’t mean that they know what will be changed to what.)
That and equipment is dead anyway, that is why armor abilities exsist.
Good idea and it could be fun in Custom games but I don’t see it working in
matchmaking. I wouldn’t like to see it implemented in the game.

The controller scheme never changes. Only the sensitivity and the look inversion of the controller.
> That and equipment is dead anyway, that is why armor abilities exsist.
You see, it could just as well have been a grenade or weapon but with the same effects as a powerdrain (The next equivalent to armor abilites, Perks and Equipment too). And, since Halo 4 is already done this idea most likely would if ever get implemented have been put into Halo 5 if the idea got enough support.
