I’m a big fan of SWAT. I’d like to see a variation of SWAT where the loadouts include the carbine and light rifle rather than the DMR and battle rifle.
Or possibly loadouts with the shotgun and scatter shot.
And whatever happened to rockets matches and sniper matches? Those were fun too!

Regarding rifles:
Anything besides the DMR is useless. All weapons in SWAT kill in a single headshot, but the DMR has the most aim assist and most accuracy.
Firing rates don’t matter when you are killing people instantly.
The only reason I ever use the BR or Pistol is if I want to farm commendations. And I’m still at a disadvantage constantly when I do.
Regarding shotguns:
I think this can work. Shotguns are balanced with the DMR in that, while they have way less range, they also don’t require you to headshot opponents.
Umm, maybe seperate gametypes within that playlist, but not its own playlist. Many other needs should get addressed before that.
Regarding SWAT shotguns… To be fair that wasn’t actually my idea. If I’m not mistaken, the original halo: ce had a SWAT mode, but everyone had no shields, magnum and shotguns (BR and DMR didn’t exist yet). It was a lot of fun! Shotguns literally turned into mid range weapons. It could be SWAT classic, or something…
… And yea, rather than a whole separate playlist, a variant within the SWAT playlist is really what I was thinking. Lol. My mistake there.
But seriously! Snipers and rockets matches! What happened to those?!? Are they gone forever because they don’t want people farming commendations??
