So I was thinking (I know doesn’t happen too often lol), that why not have a playlist featuring only the Battle Rifle with equipment but,all sorts of game modes. You could have the following:
Slayer BR (Regular rules)
Slayer BR PRO (No grenades, equipment and can only get ammo from weapon pads)
Tactical BR
CTF BR
Elimination BR
Etc.
I’m not even a fan of the BR but tons of players are and I think if they had a playlist with the BR they would be happy.
What does everyone think about this for a playlist?
Ranked (including CTF and Oddball) & SWAT are already BR only
There isn’t really anything exciting about slapping a Battle Rifle onto a couple of modes and making a playlist out of it, social modes like Infection would be appreciated more.
I don’t think it should be its own playlist, but weapon-specific game modes would actually add decent variety. We had a game mode in CE (btwn 2001-2003) we called PP Time, which was only Plasma Pistols. For some reason the Multiplayer leads never bought into modes like this other than Snipers or Swords.
My playlist suggestion would be a rank arena based on mmr and maybe make it a bit more casual than the current rank arena by keeping manglers the way they are, making other weapons better, adding motion tracker and adding some of the bigger maps like behemoth.
I think if many don’t like how manglers are, it could be removed or nerfed for the main csr ranked arena.
Or maybe just add a br start unranked arena.
I don’t know exactly, but I think we should try an mmr only rank and see if we actually prefer that to the current one.
