I’m new to Halo: Reach, any tips on how to go about playing?
Should I do the whole campaign before playing multiplayer?

For sure! Campaign is a lot of fun, especially if you’ve never done it. For matchmaking, try firefight for practice and then one of the other playlists. Team Slayer has the highest active population and is a lot of fun.

Is team slayer like a more intense version of Halo 5’s quick play?

H5 is probably more intense than Reach because the pace is so much faster, but the game mode is exactly the same; first team to 50 kills wins.
Halo Reach firefight is my favourite quick and easy credits for your rank! I’d suggest playing campaign before anything else take your time learning things no stress!

Not sure. I don’t own an Xbox one (I know, I know) Maybe one of these others can answer that. Anyone?

It depends on why you are playing Reach. For the lore, definitely the campaign. If multiplayer is the goal, firefight might be a better choice with some tours of the multiplayer maps in forge. Firefight will help learn the armor abilities as they are available up front and on respawns.
I don’t think any campaign effectively prepares you for multiplayer. I’ve done legendary, some LASO and all campaign achievements and I still run around in multiplayer like a chicken with its head cut off.
Cheers,
Brad
Like with all games it’s up to you. If you got the game for the multiplayer go ahead hop in a team slayer (just tdm) and get to playing. If you bought it for the campaign then play the campaign. If you bought it just cause then play whatever you’re most excited about or what you think looks coolest
The campaign is stellar and I definitely recommend checking it out if you haven’t yet. Firefight, Forge, and PVP are all fun too. Reach is just a really fun game in general.

Yes of corse, Halo Reach in my opinion is the best Campaign About The Noble Team…
