New player req help please

I’m a new player, I got the game less than a week ago. So far I have been buying exclusively gold req packs. After perusing the forums, it seems as though this is a bad idea? Could someone please offer some guidance on which packs to buy, and a little bit about why?

Thanks so much!

I recommend a cup of tea or bronze then silver then gold.

Buy bronze then silvers. You do this because even if you sometimes get a rare/ultra or even legendary cert, the majority of the time you get just (un)commons. Which is just wasting time and req points.

Go with silver packs first until you get a “1500” req card then move onto golds, last thing you want is to get something you would have gotten in a silver pack in one of you’re gold packs.

So skip bronze? Also, what is a “1500” card?

Thank you very much.

Buying Bronzes isn’t that helpful. For me, it’s a waste. 3/4 of the time, you don’t get stuff. I would focus more on Silver Packs. You get lots from Silvers.

A 1500 card is a card that refunds REQ points. Once you unlock everything you can get in Silver Packs, the game will refund you 1500 points back, this is a sign that you are finished with Silver Packs and can move onto Golds with full expectations of Rare to Legendary/Mythic items.

Sweet, thanks very much everyone! Can’t wait to get my hands on some augmented battle rifles

Don’t waste your points on Bronze. Go with silvers until you get req points back then go to gold. Seriously bronze is a waste of time. Silver offers perm unlocks every time and bronze is a risk + you get better stuff to use in warzone with a silver. Bronze is built on scout hogs, mongeese, and storm rifles.

I say silver, then gold. However I got the game at Christmas and LITERALLY JUST NOW completed the silver and got my first gold a few minutes ago, so I don’t know how effective it is but I’m done with silver so…

I’ve been buying gold since the start.

Buy bronze until your done with commons and get 500 req points back in those packs the people saying bronze are worthless are wrong

I started with Bronze and I would recommend doing that

Bronze costs 1250 with a chance of 1 unlock

Silver costs 5000 with 2 guaranteed unlocks

This means that if 50% of your Bronze packs have an unlock, it is equal to Silver. For me it was probably 60% to 70% of getting an unlock from a Bronze pack, although I know people who didn’t have as much luck. In addition to this you get more cards that you can sell and more boosts, which both help you get req points faster. When you are done with all the common you will get 500 credit back. That is when you know to move to silver.

However, you still can’t go wrong with unlocking silver packs from the start. It is only slightly worse than bronze packs. As long as you don’t unlock Gold packs on a regular basis, you should be fine.

Silver first, then gold.

If you’re a completionist, then buy bronze after silver for a bit to get the scout hogs and mongooses. If you don’t care about them, then skip bronze entirely.

You will get each scout hog and mongoose by unlocking all the silver packs until you get the 1500 credit. Skipping the bronze packs does not skip the common unlocks.

Not for me. I was missing a few of the basic scout variants and I had completion of both Silver AND Gold. I only had to open three bronze packs to get the remaining commons.

This. Bronze if pure garbage.

This is simple.
Go for Bronze packs, unlock all the common REQ’s then go for Silver, unlock all the uncommon/rare, then you go for Gold pack and unlock everything.
But obviouly this will cost a LOT of RP, which means that you’ll need to spend a lot of time in Warzone matches.

Yes it does, at least some of them.
