Since I have been constantly cruely mismatched so much today my KD has dropped from 1.21 to 1.17 come tomoro I shall sit back as far as possible sniping away with the DMR and active camo.Thats the type of play I believe this game rewards and I hate getting a negetive KD rate.Its a pity Id rather run and gun and use vehicles but so be it.
This is one of the many reasons I hate Halo 4. How people play the game.

My overall KD went up from 0.84 to 0.86 today yet my Slayer KD went down from 2.01 to 1.97…go figure.
I have a prove to see that the game is totally unbalanced and glitchy: One day I had all good games, always positive (with over 2 K/D ratio in each one) and ending almost always as first player of the match. The next day, instead, I couldn’t get any game more than neutral, and got negative of many deaths.
How can this be possible? The net can’t change so much from day to night…
i don’t see how people think having a great k/d is a sign of being a great player most people with a high k/d are campers who do nothing but snipe all day where is the fun in that ?
k/d doesn’t matter. Any moron can get a high k/d. (camping infection, for example) K/d is not a reflection of skill. There are too many variables for it to be.
At the moment, there are very few rewarding factors on Halo 4. I’m hoping we’ll get a real ranking system soon, but i wouldn’t count on that.

Because then they can defend the game despite its problems and say they have the credentials to do so.
And unless 343i really wants to go back to the days of reach where the dmr dominated land and air, they need to nerf it or take it out. Not everyone wants to be forced to use one gun when there is a whole set to choose from.

I use the DMR for BTB because the maps are larger and more wide open. Using a battle rifle or assault rifle on Ragnorak would be stupid. I do, however, use the Battle Rifle for Infinity Slayer and CTF because the maps are smaller and I prefer it to the DMR anyway.
I have a a 2.8kd which i honestly don’t care about since i go for the win, but if i see someone with a negative k/d and a really high win/loss ration i respect them for playing the game like an actually gamer and not a lone wolf on a team based game.
Active camo/Sniper against me and your gonna have a bad time.

Note, my overall KD is 0.86…I am a below average player and I am far from being a camo camping sniper. The fact that my KD is 0.86 shows that I actually do go out into close quarters combat in objective game types and don’t giving a flying Yoink what my KD will be…I support my team in any way I can in attempting to help the team get a win.
And as far as Slayer goes, what is wrong securing the downed Pelican site to ensure all those Man Canon using Lemmings do not get to middle hill so they can dominate the map? I want our team to win, duh! Do what many Red team players do…they die, they die some more than they change tactic, flank me and kill me LOL. Play smarter, don’t blame the weapon used or the very play style tactic described both in the Halo Reach and Halo 4 Guide books.
What is wrong if you spawn on Red team on Exile and work your way round into Blue base and hijack their Gauss Hog when it next respawns? Nothing. What is wrong if you spawn on the Blue team on the same map and work your way round and steal the Red base Scorpion next time it respawns? Nothing. There is nothing wrong with using camo tactically to ensure your team wins.
I do not like using the sniper rifle as I am horrible with it? I hate being killed by camo camping snipers but, they are playing the game in a tactical way to help their team win. Good on them!
What is wrong with someone using camo to add them in killing you before you get to our Oddball carrier…or killing you before you get our Flag or after your taken it…nothing! Why? It is helping our team win.
After many games if someone got a good score,like 43-4 or 35-2,for example,I will go off to theater to see what they did to do so well. Do you know what I do not find…rarely is that person camo campng but doing other awesome things which I learn from and try to use in my game play. You should do that some time and you might have a different opinion on people who are good enough to have a decent KD.
But, as I have always stated, KDs don’t mean a thing except in Slayer/Swat. I don’t care what mine is and I was being sarcastic when I made my original post above in response to the OP (although the content was true).
just venting my frustration with the people who just camp. that tactic sucks yes i use the AR but to me it is more fun to engage in a firefight even if i get killed then it would be to sit in a spot and shoot at someone every few minutes

while that can help i still seem to get stuck on maps or against players using the dmr. My skill has improved alot from when i started playing the first night i started playing halo 4 online i was lucky to get a few kills a game and ended up with double digit assist and deaths and even though it frustrating i was still having fun. Lately though i have gotten better and can usually average between 15 and 20 kills in a game that i do not jip even though i may still die 20 times

for the longest time, i was so worried about my K/D in halo, because it was my favorite game and the game im the best at. im not gonna lie, im pretty good, but not nearly as good as the MLG guys. i have a considerably good K/D, but ive realized that worrying about your K/D ruins the experience. its not fun having to worry about something as useless as a K/D. i do get mad when i go negative in a match, but as long as im having fun, i dont give a damn what my K/D is. it ruins the game.

Idk, I have close to a 1.50 using mostly the Light Rifle in CTF. It’s easier to have a good K/D than a good W/L.
K/d doesn’t necessarily matter as many of u have said ie camping but it does represent skill when not using the dmr (op low ret bloom) but when it up close with a ar that’s when the skill and reaction kicks in and the ar to idiots out there is not op if not used right can easily lose to dmr at close range
