So I was playing with the weapons glitch the other day and stumbled upon this Possible Scarab Gun
Now it looks like a really beaten Plasma rifle but IMO, It looks really cool !
What do you think it is ?
Hotrod192 can probably explain it better than I, but the skin is basically just a glitch where the game tries to place the texture for the Plasma Pistol over the model of the Plasma Rifle, leading to the broken appearance. As such, it isn’t really any kind of hidden weapon, more just a texturing glitch.

It’s also my thought that it might be a glitched out place holder for a new plasma rifle.

You explained it perfectly, couldn’t have said it better myself. 
It is a texture glitch when you mix weapons.
Banished Plasma Rifle maybe? More likely a glitch tho
