now that GOM has been released a very big important change has come! pressing up on the D-PAD. pings your location for everyone of your team to see. no more excuses for running around with your head cutoff if one of your teammates is soloing a boss, and pings, please do not ignore his ping!

and if you for whatever reason don’t have a mic? or hear nothing but screaming baby in other peoples mics? visual is always better the auditory. why do you think arena has giant green and white arrows over where the sniper spawns? sometimes in warzone, sarah palmer doesn’t call out that a boss spawned. with this ping system. if someone stumbles apon a boss she did not call out. the ping will atleast give people an idea. that “hey there is something over here.” it isn’t stupid. it’s quite useful. like what if someone doesn’t know where “blue bend” is? you can ping it. and they will in theory, run to your ping or point of interest.

Most random ‘teammates’ are annoyed at callouts and will typically do the opposite of what you recommend. All they do is sprint directly toward the nearest red x when down in numbers. If they never bother to look for the closest teammates to their spawn or wait a second for the other players to spawn, then they certainly won’t look for a pinging teammate. Worthless!

most, does not mean all. besides if they see it flash on their screen, they will at very least. and i do mean very least look in said direction. there is no downside to this addition, nor is it “worthless” because you said it your self. MOST teammates that does not mean ALL teammates. and clearly from the reponses of this board, i am not alone in seeing how this is useful

yeah, I hijacked a rockethog and just ping until my teammates killed the driver in warzone. got a free rockethog out of it, even if slightly damaged. best time of my game then, just watching a guy drive me around and watch him smash into his home base.
