Try to quickly pause over and over again and you will see it, it was shown for probably half a second.
There’s a cooldown bar under the weapon icon, and what looks like a charge percentage (95%) instead of an ammo count?

Given that there’s no longer the smaller spheres orbiting it and it doesn’t break apart on impact, I’d assume the longer you charge it the more deadly it becomes.
